The ride is on. As Twitchy reported yesterday, organizers of the 9/11 2 Million Bikers to D.C. march are moving forward despite reportedly being denied an event permit. Riders across the country are tweeting that their kickstands are up and their motors are revving up.

Safe travels to all.

For the 2 million bikers? I propose all cars, trucks, buses drive around DC as well. People should also walk about as a sign of support. :)—

Social media and Twitchy are on it — and we’ll continue to report as events unfold.

I haven't seen *any* mention in the media of the proposed *2 million" bikers descending on Washington DC on 9/11. facebook.com/2MillionBikers…

So what’s Obama going to do? Call out the Army to stop them? Meet them with guns at the D.C. border?

Wouldn’t put it past him.

Maybe they legally can, but they are violating the rights of others: Just as your right to punch your fist ends where your neighbor’s nose begins, that many decibels polluting private and public spaces ought to be criminal if it isn’t.

Make sure your cameras, phones, and recorders are charged and ready. You might need them.

I bet you’d like to ban fireworks on the Fourth of July too.

There aren’t going to be a million Muslims. Their permit is only estimating a thousand, and from what I can see, they’ll be lucky to get 200. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel to save themselves embarrassment, then cite the “threat” of the bikers.

Guess it would have been better to just sit back and watch the muslims do their thing, ya know, keep that mantra alive that they are so oppressed and feared!

Go bikers go :)

Never thought a million muzzies would show, but I hope they try anyway so the bikers can have a little “fun and recreation”.

You assume much.

Up until the 1980s there were no noise rules for motorcycles.

Most motorcycles comply with the law regarding noise.

In this day and age, if a person rides a motorcycle they gennerally have a degree, make over 70k and some are even called judge.

You’re the one making assumptions. I said nothing about the professions or education of motorcycle riders.

I don’t like the noise, particularly when they’re in large groups, taking over intersections and the like along with being Godawful loud.

For one day ear plugs can be your friend.

P.S. Fireworks can be godawful loud too.

Ordinarily I’d agree with you about rights...but let’s remember what these Muslim bastards are doing here. They are taking the anniversary of the slaughter of 3000 Americans to dance on their graves in our nations capital. They have declared war. If you are talking about the right of the regular citizenry to be free of noise, they can suck it up for a day. If, and I don’t think you meant this, but if you are talking about the rights of the Muslim protesters, they can go right to hell, especially that day.

the “noise” is during acceleration and even stock exhause can be loud.

the real offenders are those who have 12” exhaust that is nothing more than a tube and then it only serves as show not performance of engine.

Generally the “loud burn out artists” are jerks in all aspects of their lives.
