As expected many teachers weren’t happy about having to dress appropriately as the school district attempts to improve its culture and environment.

Expecting adults to behave like adults is apparently hateful. lol

How can you expect children to respect teachers when teachers show no respect for their profession. You can’t dress and act like your students and have them respect your authority.

It's racist against flip-flops.

That would depend on the profession.

Yeah, ought to phase that in. Don't give them too much to handle all at once.

I suggest the flip-flop ban be a global one.

Flip-flops? Well that leaves John Kerry out of any possible future in the teaching profession.

teachers unions constantly lecture us about how much they should be paid because they are, you know, PROFESSIONALS.

I know a good number of people go into teaching because they love teaching, but when Vietnam hit, and the draft, so many went to college and into teaching because it was an easy way out of getting drafted...and its been downhill ever since....

In the old days, teachers would have studied Latin, so they would know the proverb:

Semper ubi sub ubi.
