Senator McCain has had a busy day making a variety of confused statements
1. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is euphoric about President Obamas surprise announcement Saturday that he will seek congressional authorization for a limited strike in the war-torn country, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said Sunday on Face the Nation.
2. Senator John McCain, R-Ariz., criticized President Barack Obamas plans for limited air strikes on Syria as cosmetic Friday, saying the failure of the United States to intervene in the countrys civil war was shameful.
3. Were in a bit of a dilemma here, because I think Senator Lindsey Graham and I and others will be wanting a strategy, a plan, rather than just, Were going to launch some cruise missiles and thats it.
4. The consequences of the Congress of the United States overriding a decision of the President of the United States of this magnitude are really very, very serious, he said. And already were sending a bad signal to Iran, to North Korea, to Bashar al-Assad. But if we overrode the presidents decision, and did nothing?
McCain does have a point on the last one. This whole thing is sending a terrible message, but starting a war that will aid our enemies to avoid looking stupid because Obama shot his mouth off sounds even worse.

Pray for America to Wake Up
Congress needs to do what the English Parliament did.
Maybe the best way to protect his threat capability is to have him quit making threats that cover topics he has zero knowledge of. He drew the red line, so let him lose whatever cred comes out of this.
I don’t want to protect Obama from anything. The Boy Wonder dug his own ditch. He can find his own way out.
NO INTERVENTION TO HELP AL QAEDA!
To think I voted for this asshat
Has that sonovabitch lost his mind? No,he has been in on it since he ran against the one and lost.
Some very nice guys in white coats need to catch this senile SOB with a butterfly net and put him away in a padded cell.
This guy has erased all doubt that he is a mental case, and to think he was the genius the RNC ran against Vacation Guy in 2008.
Unfreakinbelievable
On the other hand, rejecting this war will enhance the Constitution’s credibility.
McCain once again tossing Obama’s salad.
It has become habitual.
No,not his mind...his manhood. The North Vietnamese stole it from him through five years of medieval, savage torture.
OMG, stick a sock in it, John.
That must have been one hel* of a deal he got from mac daddy when he was running for POTUS. Not only did he stab his running mate in the back but he also became mac daddies most loyal sock puppet.
McLame sounds like he’s drinking with Biden again.
Or doing shots with Hillary like that night in Lithuania.
When are the good people of Arizona recall McLame and shut him up?
Protecting Obama's credibility is like protecting Sandra Fluke's purity. There is no point in defending a fictional attribute, not when so many thousands of people know it doesn't exist.
This crazy bastard wants boots on the ground.
The House of Representatives actually voted, overwhelmingly, against authorizing the US war in Libya. That didn't stop Obama.
Well, that part is absolutely true. Trayvon won't be getting any cancer.
