Something you don’t see every day(Suppressed Mini in 6.8)

Something that’s no the usual. Not an AR, Not 5.56 . . . something interesting:

“Just got my Mini back from John at Great West Gunsmithing and wanted to show it off.  I know you all like to see your suppressors on unique hosts and I can’t find many people that have a SDN-6 on a Ruger Mini in 6.8 SPC.  Enjoy the pictures.

I had the barrel cut to 14.5″ and the Blackout FH pinned on.  He also remounted the front sight, bedded the action, tuned the trigger, and installed a recoil buffer.  I’m pleased to say the least, and now I’ve got another reason to put rounds through my SDN-6.”

Are there magazines available for that conversion rig?

I’m not sure what brand it is - it might be a Doctor, but I can tell it isn’t an EOTech. You can see the controls are toward the shooter, so it is installed correctly.

Yes, but they are pricey. and it is hit or miss finding them.
I comes with two, they are of extreme high quality.
No one is making an after market mag.
Black Dog flirted with it a couple of years ago.

Here is a sight that works the way the one on the rifle does:

I have seen them, but I see nothing available now.

Rare.

Nice.

Sorry I didn’t post earlier. I was out registering with the proper federal authorities for the daily exercise of my other rights under the Constitution.

Gee whiz. It’s not a big deal. All you have to do is turn the rifle around and ‘viola’, the sight works correctly.

: )

Looks nice. Just an observation, the website you linked to is extremely difficult to read with the white on black color scheme. A larger font would make it much easier to read.

From a Ruger factory trained armorer I must say.... oooh, nice! My departments response team would really like something like this(plus they wouldn't have to retrain guys like me on a different weapon type, as we already use these in .223)

Which link are you referring to? I think I have put three into this thread.

I might be able to do something about it.

Also, can you say what browser you are using?

The one that contains the pictures of your rifle. The pictures turn out fine, but the white lettering on the black background is hard to read. I have the same issue with both Explorer and Firefox.

Not my rifle, not my website. It is the source of the story that I posted.

I would not mind having such a rifle. It looks quite handy. I would rather have in .300 AAC if I had a choice.
