Time for a Christian exodus from a failed Republican Party
World Tribune ^ | August 23, 2013 | Grace Vuoto

It is time for Christians, and those of other faiths who value this nation’s unique character, to leave the Republican Party and start their very own political organization.

For decades, the Christian alliance with the GOP has failed to roll back or even mildly halt the relentless advance of liberalism. We have lost the culture, lost the traditional underpinnings of the nation and no longer have a national character we can take pride in. The Republican Party is useless for all those who are serious about upholding traditional Judeo-Christian morality.

They are all taking part in the destruction of the country. I’d much rather a liberal pull the trigger instead of a dishonest liar pretending to be my friend.

If they won’t stand up for anything why do we even need them? Kick’em to the curb so they have to work a real job...And let’s put real people that ARE’NT attorneys that weren’t silver spoon fed from birth into office who have some integrity and spine

Mainstream Christianity has imploded in this country (see Presbyterian/Lutheran/Episcopal support openly gay clergy). Let’s fix that before going to war with the GOP.

Sorry, that sophomoric tactic doesn't work anymore.

“Yes lets all leave and have NO voice what so ever. Much better’’

You have no voice at this point. So what’s the difference?

And they’ve managed to accomplish exactly what?

Yes lets all leave and have NO voice what so ever. Much better.

Sorry. We have NO voice now. Look at what has happened to our country, look at the path we are on, look at the debt, look at the absolute legal abandonment of the Constitution, look at the worst nightmare of the Orwellian leviathan state that is congealing around us. Look at our status in the world.

The country is on a fatal path, and probably too far gone to rescue.

The only possible hope we have is that we can scare the GOPe into realizing that if they don't become a serious principled opposition to the totalitarian agenda, they will lose the only thing they care about -- their own feathered nests and political offices.

Your "strategy" has been tried and found wanting. What you propose is no longer rational.

If America is going to Hell, which it appears to be doing, the Republicans need to go with it.

Having no voice is better than my “voice” being in support of Godless anti-Christian representatives.

If you think those creeps represent your “voice” adequately, that is your business.

A resounding NO! The only success we’ve seen is via TEA people working hard to take back the Republican party. Dividing the vote in the primary will result in a RINO nomination. Join us in this endeavor! We’ve seen third parties for a long time, and they continue to fail in getting anything done. If you really want change, stop dividing the vote. That is precisely how they win.

Being a sophomore is a compliment compared to the butt hurt babies on this thread. Also grown men don’t play “magical thinking”. That yeah...will start a new party...millions will join...let’s call it the Ross Perot..party. That worked great.

I’ve pretty much already left. Starting with Bush pushing amnesty in 2007 and going through the backstabbing of Palin and the tea-party, I went from a longtime, exclusively GOP voter and booster, to someone who intensely distrusts the entire Republican Party. And likely will never give it another vote.

Oh, yeah, and Romney... who facilitated homo-marriage in MA, cringed like a coward when confronted with a question on the Chick-Fil-A protest, wouldn’t let the words “tea party” be uttered at the convention, and had his vile, scumbag advisors trash Palin for years in order to grease his pathway to the nomination... yep, that Romney. Well, Romney, you didn’t get my vote, you bastard! First Republican I ever passed on. Go burn in hell, and take all your trash like Stu Stevens and his ilk with you!

Why should I vote fore the GOPe when they’re simply going to vote with the Dems? The House holds the purse yet we still have obamacare. the House has a Republic majority yet amnesty will, mark my words, be pushed through. The House has the majority yet only huffs and puffs at Benghazi, NSA, IRS, etc. They are dead to me.

You and your attitude is exactly why the GOP will be meaningless in a decade. Calling someone a 'butt-hurt baby' and then expecting them to vote for your guy is 'magical thinking'.

But keep alienating the conservatives. The GOP will die that much faster. I look forward to it.

A resounding NO!

You don't get a choice. People are streaming away from the GOP like they would a leper colony. That's the new reality.

The problem with all of this is that it ignores the reason we keep getting RINOs, which is because that's who the voters are electing. While we were watching baseball and football, the left was winning our young over to its ways.

This article accurately points out that many will say that splitting the vote will give the Democrats more power, and acknowledges that is true. What it didn't point out is why we're getting those RINOs. Why? Because blaming the GOP for who the voters are electing is easier than winning over the voters to Conservative values? So what is the alternative? How will sending the Conservative vote to a third party change anything? By giving us more Democrats? Is that the master plan?

In 1992, many of us voted third party, for many of the arguments made now. The result? Clinton won. What's worse, Clinton inherited the end of the Cold War and a growing economy, and the Tech Boom was starting, and he got the credit for the job growth and "balanced budget" that followed. We have been at a disadvantage ever since.

We are not going to get real Conservatives again until we win Americans over to Conservative values. If we aren't willing to do that, we'll either get more RINOs, or split our votes and give the Democrats even more power.
