Freshman Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) dismissed a question about President Barack Obama’s birth certificate Thursday, calling it a “dead issue” that he doesn’t “give a sh*t” about.
Mullin took a question during a town hall meeting in his Oklahoma district from a woman who identified herself as a “birther princess” and asked about “Obama’s identification fraud.”
“You’re talking about the birth certificate?” Mullin responded, according to video of the exchange posted by liberal website Think Progress. “We lost that argument on November 6. We had four years to get that proven, we didn’t, we re-elected him, so that’s a dead issue.”
“No it isn’t,” the woman protested, before trying to show him a 71-page affidavit from Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s investigation.
“Honestly, I don’t even give a sh*t,” Mullin said, refusing the document.

The Birth Certificate issue is a real issue but it will take us nowhere. Even if it is true it is not a winning issue
Focus on the issues that are actually hurting people - jobs, terrorism, IRS audits, Benghazi.
If you want to deal with the birth certificate issue then nominate Ted Cruz for president. When the demonrats try and disqualify him then you have Obama - an all of his legislation on the hook. Republicans need to learn how to play the demonrats’ game.
That Wendy Davis woman in Texas needs to be labeled a racist because she wants to control the population of blacks by killing their children. Just say it people. She is a racist. She is evil. She is advocating genocide.
Obama’s taxes are genocide on the poor and minorities. Make the connection and call them what they are. They only hope of avoiding a real shooting war is to speak plainly and without a PC filter.

Does make you wonder what skeletons all these reps have that they want to keep hidden. Personally I think you count the number of “clean” politicians on one hand. But I wouldn’t wager any of my own money on who they are.

Agreed. The only way the birther thing could ever get any legitimacy is if someone were to break into the official (records) and leak them, one of the (leftist) officials were to release them, or Øbongo to admit the truth. None of those are EVER going to happen.

Once we are better positioned, we can examine the issue and the body of evidence again under more favorable conditions and then move to take legal action. Should the timing for that battle never be right, we will have to focus on battles that we can win and which yield us more power.
Rep Mullin probably thought, especially coming from someone who identified herself as a “birther princess”, that it was a trap question. He didn’t want to take the bait.
Oh please, don’t try to hang all the problems of the GOP around a first term congressman. If u can tell Mr. Mullin where to go to find ABSOLUTE proof of Obama’s birth fraud, I am sure he would go get it, but its not there. I wish it were but for whatever reason, people on high places r hiding it and covering it up. It is NOT Mullin’s fault.

I’m not hanging it all on him. But I really DO think that his quote is a great summation of Republican “leaders” and their attitudes, at least as far as the conservative base is concerned.
I get depressed when I think about how corrupt and apathetic the GOP is. They know damn well their immigration bill turn into the Senate bill in reconciliation, they want amnesty as much as Schumer does. They have no intention at all of investigating Benghazi, nor do they have any inclination of defunding Obamacare. It’s just a game to them. I used to think it was fear of the NYT, now I know that they just don’t give a sh*t. And why should they? They get a car and driver, 175k for life, they are not subjected to Obamacare, NEVER fly coach( on our dime), and travel everywhere for free. Those are just some of the perks. Why rock the boat? Lacking consciences, they have nothing to lose by enraging conservatives with the games they play..

The anti-birther crowd thinks it is too unsophisticated and icky to question the messiah’s past. They get all embarrassed when the Obama Commie crowd laughs at them. I have no problem having Obumbo’s qualifications on the front burner, as it could, if proven, destroy the Marxist march over America.
As for those who think it detracts from other issues, they should learn to walk and chew gum at the same time.

The press and the left r going to be out for Mullin, he will need our support. Don’t think for one second Mullin supports Obama in any way. I don’t wish to put words in Mr. Mullins mouth but if there was a way for him to get Obama’s records, he would. Mr. Mullin deserves our support.
At least he is being honest. None of them give a hoot about Barry’s likely ineligibility. Just like none of them cared enough to stand up and challenge him in 2008. Thats because the GOP candidate had big eligibility issues of his own and they all agreed to just drop the issue. Sad but true.
I agree. No one should be allowed to utter the truth in a townhall.
