Angela Corey Fires Ben Kruidbos – The “Whistleblower” in The Trayvon Phone Data Cover-up

Jacksonville FL - State Attorney Angela Corey fired her office’s information technology director Friday after he testified last month about being concerned prosecutors did not turn over information to George Zimmerman’s defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

On the same day attorneys finished their closing arguments in that nationally watched trial, a state attorney investigator went to Ben Kruidbos’ home about 7:30 a.m. to hand-deliver a letter stating Kruidbos “can never again be trusted to step foot in this office.”

The letter contended Kruibos did a poor job overseeing the information technology department, violated public records law for retaining documents, and noted he was questioned in March when the office was trying to determine who had leaked personnel information obtained through a computer breach.

In an interview Friday, Kruidbos denied the allegations in the letter, which was written by Cheryl Peek, the managing director of the State Attorney’s Office.

He said he had acted in good faith about “genuine concerns.” He said he had been proud to work at the State Attorney’s Office and feared the letter would cripple his chances at finding another job to support his family, including a 4-month-old son.

“I don’t have any regrets,” he said, “but I am terrified about the future and what that will end up being.”

His attorney Wesley White — who resigned from the State Attorney’s Office in December and is a critic of Corey — said the firing was aimed at sending a message to office employees “that if they feel like there is wrongdoing,” they should not disclose it or seek legal guidance from a private attorney.

“If they do speak to an attorney, then they are dead,” he said. “The State Attorney’s Office will do whatever is necessary to not only terminate them, but destroy their reputations in the process.”

State Attorney spokeswoman Jackelyn Barnard did not return phone calls or emails for comment.

Kruidbos, 42, had been on paid administrative leave since May 28 from his $80,892 job.

I am self limited about viewing videos.

I uninstalled Adobe Flash on this Linux Box. So I was unable to view the interview you sent the link for.

Sorry, but it was a security decision that I made for my computer.

I will look for another format of that later.

Thanks

The witch needs to take off that cross necklace as she stands there spouting her lies.

Indeed.

She is a vicious liar.

I read Pam Bondi was the one that apponted her, not Rick Scott.

Sometimes you can download youtube clips for offline viewing using dirpy.com and other sites.

Saves as an mp4 or flv file.

The person who should be fired in the state of Florida is quite obvious.

I would have enjoyed watching spontaneous human combustion while she stood there telling lies.

Governor Scott owes the people who elected him a BIG apology.

I read Pam Bondi was the one that apponted her, not Rick Scott.

Gov. Rick Scott appoints special prosecutor for Trayvon Martin case

Lots of stories like this from March 22, 2012. I agree that Gov. Scott most likely delegated the task to Bondi, but he ultimately took credit for the action.

I wonder if any other cases Corey was apart of will be overturned or at least appealed.

That polidiot needs to see jail time over her version of justice in Florida .

I got the distinct impression MOM is going for the juggler on this one with the move for sanctions.

My brain is tired. Please explain who you mean by "MOM".

Yeah, I noticed the same things.

She is evil and it shows in her face, just like “judge” Nelson.

That much ugly on the inside can't be contained and is manifested on the outside. . .for both Corey and nelson.

Saying she respects the juries decision buy yet goes on a rant about how George should have been convicted. . .yeah that really respects the jury.

Hey, I did enjoy West's responses during the defense press conference.

Oh, and how I wish someone would have asked Corey the following: “Why did you by-pass the grand jury process and go straight to filing charges. . .if, after all, you were after truth?”

Alan Dershowitz on Angela Corey - Radio Interview (6-11-12)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvVSbE8Nm2c

His interview starts just before the 4 minute mark in the video.

I am no fan of Dershowitz, he is generally very liberal, you would expect it from a Harvard law Professor. But he despises the actions of Corey.

MOM made a comment during the presser. I’ll paraphrase, she thought she was dealing with some public defenders office which operates within a small budget by over charging the case as a murder II and then playing hide and seek with the discovery materials. I’ll interpret, she filed the information without benefit of a grand jury because she knew they would never return a murder II. She was going to buffolo the defense into agreeing to a manslaughter because they could not take on the state “with their unlimited resources”. She thought she could bankrupt the defense and when that did not go well, she ginned up a bail purjury case against him and his wife.

IMO, they had a battery of government lawyers and support people working this matter...three top prosecutors, their aides, the state department of law enforcement (under Bondi), the media, everyone but DA Dewey from NYC probably because he is dead...and they could not make a case.

We owe such a debt of gratitude to the six ladies of the jury who stood their ground and refused to convice based on conjecture, innuendo, and rumor. While it is nice to say justice prevailed it is sad to note there are no winners here...one dead, even if he deserved it; one whose life was on life support for almost two years and will be hell for the remainder of his adult life; families bankrupted; racial tensions at all time highs; a disgraced legal system. All for what? All for nought.

I don’t know. But I expect this one to cost the State of FL a load of money before it is over. Such a travesty of justice from the beginning.
