Jacksonville FL - State Attorney Angela Corey fired her offices information technology director Friday after he testified last month about being concerned prosecutors did not turn over information to George Zimmermans defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
On the same day attorneys finished their closing arguments in that nationally watched trial, a state attorney investigator went to Ben Kruidbos home about 7:30 a.m. to hand-deliver a letter stating Kruidbos can never again be trusted to step foot in this office.
The letter contended Kruibos did a poor job overseeing the information technology department, violated public records law for retaining documents, and noted he was questioned in March when the office was trying to determine who had leaked personnel information obtained through a computer breach.
In an interview Friday, Kruidbos denied the allegations in the letter, which was written by Cheryl Peek, the managing director of the State Attorneys Office.
He said he had acted in good faith about genuine concerns. He said he had been proud to work at the State Attorneys Office and feared the letter would cripple his chances at finding another job to support his family, including a 4-month-old son.
I dont have any regrets, he said, but I am terrified about the future and what that will end up being.
His attorney Wesley White who resigned from the State Attorneys Office in December and is a critic of Corey said the firing was aimed at sending a message to office employees that if they feel like there is wrongdoing, they should not disclose it or seek legal guidance from a private attorney.
If they do speak to an attorney, then they are dead, he said. The State Attorneys Office will do whatever is necessary to not only terminate them, but destroy their reputations in the process.
State Attorney spokeswoman Jackelyn Barnard did not return phone calls or emails for comment.
Kruidbos, 42, had been on paid administrative leave since May 28 from his $80,892 job.

FL State Attorney or Cat House Madam?
You Decide
That is so sad and disappointing, I had a lot of respect for Bondi. Just goes to show....
I kept thinking last night how much she looked like Barney Rubble or Fred Flinstone in drag...
I still don’t get how the hell Pam Bondi turned to the dark side. She was a conservative darling the time she was up for election and won that seat. Sean Hannity gushed over her at that time.
Yes, it is the intent from the top down to destroy the rule of law in the US and the Constitution with it. It has been so since the beginning of Obozo’s administration.

Who has the authority to fire her? Governor Scott? If so; get to it.
and 17IF (if Trayvon had lived to 17, oh wait...):
you forgot the judge. She had it in for Zimmerman from day one. Hell, she couldn’t even say his name properly as plenty of times she referred to him as zimmer..mer...man
I think one can read that into MOM’s comments. He may not be interested in going after the judge, in fact he downplayed any bias on her part in the interview, because he is a member of the bar and as such does not want to face her cohorts in future cases with a bias by them toward him. However, his distain for Corey and Baldy was pretty self evident.
Corey has had a history in this district...recently she indicted a 12yo for murder. He was obviously retarded. She used office funds, nebulously legally, to increase both hers and Baldy’s pensions. She did run as a GOP strong conservative against a liberal sitting prosecutor who mollycoddled “the disadvantaged” yet has proven to be a rogue bumbler. I sense her political future is over.
Take the time to view the 2 videos of Defense Expert Witness, Richard Conner testimony.
This is dambing in spite of the court trying to suppress his conclusions.

Angela Corey and the attorneys who tried the State vs. George Zimmerman case, Bernie de la Rionda, Richard Mantei and John Guy, spoke about the jury’s not guilty verdict.
Florida GOP took a very wrong turn several years ago. I had hope that things would get better after ridding the state party of Jim Greer and his ilk. It pains me to say it, but the RPOF is still rotten to the core.
Agree
That might be a problem as I remember Pam Bondi and Rick Scott were sort of joined at the hip since they both won elections at the same time. And we now know Pam Bondi is “friends” with Angela Corey as well as the Martin family attorneys and they are in all reality hucksters.
Rick Scott is the one who appointed Angela Corey as Special Prosecutor in the TM case.
The witch needs to take off that cross necklace as she stands there spouting her lies.
Thanks for that information. I also think her political career is finished. She circumvented the Grand Jury so she could proceed with Zimmerman’s trial. I’m praying you’re right about O’ Mara and West going after her. She certainly merits it.
I don't think it's all that surprising. If you recall, Bondi fell all over Mitt Romney during the election. She was going to help him implement his socialized healthcare plan.
