"You can't say gay couples shouldn't be married, after all, they are born that way." is one of the most common arguments for gay "marriage." The idea is if the public is convinced that homosexuality is innate and not a choice, then the public as a whole will become more accepting of homosexuality and gay marriage. However, this argument has no scientific support and indeed, neurology may provide an explanation of how homosexuality is indeed a choice.

Well, I could make a dozen jokes about getting married being a choice for celibacy, but let's skip that and address you point.
If having sex with ones wife alleviated natural urges to have sex with other women, there wouldn't be so many people fooling around out there. I was addressing the issue of overcoming natural urges being a choice, and it is a choice.
A very interesting point you bring up there. However, the desire for homosexual behavior can be cured—it only requires social engineering. There exists a number of cultures around the world where homosexuality is unheard of and words to describe it do not exist. It isn’t because of taboos placed on the act, but instead because it is socially unknown. In the same way, if propaganda could be produced and distributed that denounced homosexuality, perhaps the popular opinion of the masses would be shifted and our society could count itself among the many in which homosexuality is absent.
Exactly! When you extrapolate the argument to other sexual deviancies one can clearly see how absurd the entire argument is on the face of it! It would seem that the majority of the gay activist platform rests upon emotion and propaganda instead of truth and logic.

I sincerely apologize. I’ve been trying to reply to peoples comments but my replies don’t show up. I do understand I look like a troll, or have a backhanded motive, but I was simply unsure how to approach this site and the community that surrounds it. I hope you all understand.
Why is it they never ask the people calling anyone who isn’t homocentric a “homophobe” if phobias are a choice?

I really am more concerned about the topic and refining my arguments and positions based on others comments and ideas, that pretty much is why I posted here. I’m not sure why, but last night after I replied the first time to shibumi I couldn’t reply again. But anyways, I’m not here to get hits on my site, that doesn’t help me. What helps me is having intelligent discussion with people who know something about politics.
Simply because 1. They don’t understand that a phobia is a fear, and most people simply have moral objections to homosexuality and 2. it’s nothing more than blatant propaganda to shame people for believing differently.
Care to back that up?

It was a rhetorical question. Something else they don’t understand is that when you try to cram something down people’s throats, evetually you’re going to try it and draw back a bloody stump.
