While National Security Agencys harvesting of telephone data is often defended as a necessary component of post-9/11 national security, old court documents claim the spy agency was putting such a program into place months before the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
In court papers filed during his 2007 insider trading trial, former Qwest CEO Joseph Nacchio claimed that Denver-based Qwest was denied lucrative NSA contracts he believed to be worth $50-$100 million, after Nacchio refused to involve Qwest in a secret NSA program that he thought would be illegal.
Subsequent reporting at the time revealed that it was a domestic wiretapping program in which the NSA wanted to snoop on Qwests vast telephone network without court orders....

It certainly lends credence to those who think 9/11 was a false flag to enable the imposition of more draconian controls over the US population, doesn’t it?
I’m at a point where I don’t know what to believe about the people running the country, and my assumption is that they are all on a power trip in their own little fiefdoms. None of it is for our peoples’ benefit, but it is always claimed to be thus.
Nice story. Having been involved in computer networking for the majority of my working life I am overjoyed by The Library we have created and sickened by the Security State that grew up along side. In this house we are big fans of Snowden. Not so much the flakey girlfriend.
Vee have vays of making you cooperate.
Apparently I need to get the new government approved calendar where 9/11/01 comes before 2/27/01.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
There are no chains.
Like Cheney :(
At this point i rather take my chances w achmed the bomber vs the police state
There are no chains.
That's where rope comes into play.
This was Clinton.
You’ll remember that it was weeks before they actually got the gangsters out of the WH, and that they sabotaged whatever they could on their way out.
H’ll, you’re STILL dealing with the Clinton judiciary.
Thanks for the link. Chilling.....although I don’t think we’re headed there, I think we are already here.
Yeah, I love that story, too.
Sooner or later a huge number of Americans will have had more than enough.
There is not any difference. “The Taliban is inside the building”.
Taking over the world is an aspiration for every powerful country or block of countries. The governments and the large business machines are no longer happy with their house but they want to be president of the world. Globalization is here and we might as well get used to it.
Information is power and those that have the most, win.
I was told the world is a community now and that we must treat them as we would our neighbors. If they need a cup of sugar give it to them and if they want to borrow the lawn mower don’ t expect to get it back.
Your country must be every country. The amnesty for illegals and the influx of political refugees proves this.
Get used to it. It’s here and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
I remember that America too... before we all paid protection money - and were thrilled the goons would accept it.

THIS is why he’s in prison.
Frightening, diabolical but plausible. Glad it’s fiction but could be reality soon enough.
I wrote it to hopefully remind would-be dictators that even the best plans often go awry.
And Cheney that lying Oligarch, just claimed that if they had this system back then they could have prevented 911. Heck, even with this system they cannot even stop pressure cooker bombs being dropped off in the middle of a marathon by two Chechens identified by the Russians as terrorist.
