One of those signatories, Sheriff Nicholas Finch, was arrested by Governor Rick Scott in Florida for actions he took in a case in early March in which Finch made his stand for the Second Amendment.

That is an extraordinary claim. It requires documentation, I would like to see a link.

Is there some other reason for the arrest? I was under the impression that concealed carry was legal in Florida.

There is no reason given for the original search that found the concealed weapon. A little more information would be helpful. Was it a bad search and the sheriff wanted to avoid a lawsuit of the overeager deputy? Lots of possibilities. The slant of the article may be deduced from the fact that the writer chose to describe the concealed weapon as "semi-automatic fully loaded" to make it sound more dangerous.
