One of those signatories, Sheriff Nicholas Finch, was arrested by Governor Rick Scott in Florida for actions he took in a case in early March in which Finch made his stand for the Second Amendment.

That is an extraordinary claim. It requires documentation, I would like to see a link.

Gov. Scott did not “arrest” the Sheriff.

He appointed an interim Sheriff while the matter is being investigated.

I live in Florida, and I do not have a CCW permit.

I could easily legally obtain one, if I desired one, but I do not currently have one, and if I am ever “caught” with a concealed gun by a cop...I am going to be arrested and processed for a concealed weapon violation.

Since I do not carry any concealed weapons that require a special legal permit, it is not a problem for me, as I am a law abiding citizen.

I do not believe that any of the the State laws that require citizens to acquire a concealed weapons permit are just, but it is a legal State of Florida law, not a federal one, and I am willing to work to persuade my neighbors and elected politicians to think as I do, and repeal those laws, and state that we Floridians can carry whatever weapons we want, as long as we do not use any of them to commit a crime against another person.

I do not know the mechanism in Liberty County to expunge an illegal/false arrest from the records, but I very much doubt applying “whiteout” on the official arrest form is one of them...
