Atheists arent limiting their attacks in religion in the military to demonizing Christians. It turns out theyre also agitating for their own chaplains. I find this amusing. I can just imagine the atheist chaplain in different military scenarios.
Atheist military chaplain on the eve of battle:
Youre going into battle tomorrow. No one is watching over you; no one is at your side; and youre not cradled in anyones divine love. Have fun and be careful.
Atheist military chaplain in a fox hole:
Were going to die! Were going to die! And after that . . . nothing!!!
Atheist military chaplain at a dying soldiers side:
Please, my son, ignore the fact that your life had no meaning, your death will have been equally meaningless and, when you die, youll rot and turn to dust. Dont worry. Be happy.
Atheist military chaplain when soldier confesses that he has the urge to rape the enemys women:
Well, I think thats a very bad idea.
My parodies are stupid, right? Its not just that Im a bad parodist (which I am). Its that life in Obamas America has moved beyond parody.

The tyical hard-core atheist is obsessed with religion, but in a negative way. They’re so full of hatred for anything related to the idea of God that they can’t even recognize it themselves. They’re far more fanatical than those they try to mock. So I imagine an athiest chaplain will be just the opposite of pious. They’ll be foul-mouthed, deeply troubled, spewing lies and baseless slander to the utmost of their ability. This might be just the thing to show Christians who voted for Obama the manner in which their vote serves God.
atheism isn't exempt from analysis or critique of its real world consequences. Atheism is a metaphysical stance -- there are no gods and no God, there is no intrinsic purpose to existence, there is no natural moral law, there is no accountability in an afterlife. Those are quite explicit and consequential assertions, just as the negation of those assertions -- that there is a God, that there is a purpose to existence... -- is an explicit and consequential assertion. Atheism lacks liturgy. It does not lack beliefs and consequences. It lacks belief in God; it does not lack belief in the intrinsic consequences of God's non-existence. As Nietzsche emphatically noted, if God is dead, everything changes. The US Constitution assumed all human rights were bestowed to us by our Creator through Natural Law . A Humanistic belief would assume rights and morality are bestowed to us by mankind based on circumstance....atheism is to sin as alcoholism is to angst. Stupor-- metaphysical or medicinal-- is a denial of reality and a denial of consequences, which feels good for an evening or a weekend.
- Michael Egnor
How would our Declaration of Independence look without our Creator?
We hold no truths to be self-evident, that all (men) are evolved based on chance, that they are endowed by a mindless chemical process from a mindless universal algorithm with uncertain inalienable illusions that among these are a delusion of life, and the pursuit of happenstance. (See also Genesis 1 For Atheists )
If God is not responsible for our rights and morality than who is?... Man? - Government?
A wise man once observed that while belief in God after the Holocaust may be difficult, belief in man after the Holocaust is impossible.
The world gets crazier ever friggin day.
50 years ago half of these people atheists, queers, Muslims, would have been afraid to open their mouths, Today they are destroying the country.
What would an atheist chaplain do?
Talk to dog.
form a clubhouse which is which many (not all) of our pastors do.
as one pastor informed me when I questioned him about dressing up like Doris Day for a sunday evening event. The purpose of church was fellowship he explained to me.
Atheist’s funeral... all dressed up and no place to go.
The military is becoming more unglued every day. The leftists have been highly effective in spreading their tentacles of destruction into it.
Soon will come the day NAMBLA will be running the base day cares.
Why would an atheist become a "chaplain".
Maybe just a black square, signifying "nothing."

The real answer is that military Chaplains have a LOT more to do than just direct religious actions, like civilian clergy. And I say this with considerable respect for military Chaplains, many of whom buckle under the pressure of their responsibilities, having nervous breakdowns or getting caught up in alcoholism, even in peacetime.
Things must be just hellish for Chaplains right now, because they often function as the unit morale officer, and with almost endemic PTSD, every moment they are not conducting essential services is spent counseling soldiers in psychological agony. Also suicide prevention.
Often they assist commanders with death notifications, act as the Red Cross representative for messages both ways, good and bad, and insure that personnel are not driven beyond their capabilities or suffer under bad leadership.
They are part of the process of conscientious objection, proper treatment of enemy POWs, both physically and spiritually, and can act as liaisons to local community religious leaders.
A lot of this would not apply to an atheist Chaplain, but a lot would, including referral to a religious Chaplain if requested.
No, that's the dyslexic chaplain.

This doesn’t bother me. The sad truth is that there are a lot of non-religious people out there who really don’t believe in anything and are put off by religion. If they want some Humanist-type person to talk to, so be it.
I saw an atheist meme that said something like, “it isn’t that we have nothing to live for, it’s that we have nothing to die for.”
So he could add, “Remember, you have nothing to die for so cower in the hole and hope for survival.”
Atheism must equal cowardice, as they have nothing to die for.
It's basically just counseling though, curiously, both chaplains have studied at Harvard Divinity School.
The difference between today's Unitarian/Universalism and Humanism/Agnosticism/Atheism is pretty fuzzy.
actually they already have atheist chaplains. They are called psychologists.
