You are missing the point about the Obama strategy, even though it is currently playing out before your eyes with the IRS scandal against conservatives. They fully expect to get slapped down, but by that time, the implicit threat has already been established. Most people on the right do not put a priority on agitating, so they will just stay silent rather than risk any potential hassle.
I thought civil rights violations were committed under the color of authority. There are other laws for certain types of speech by citizens. With a few restrictions, I can speak my mind, and if the muzzies don’t like what I am saying, they can refuse to listen.
