I look forward to Fleet Week on Memorial Day Weekend every year. The city is transformed by our heroes in the armed forces. But thanks to Obama, the 2013 Fleet Week has been cancelled.

His pigs feed at trough (the unions, SEIU, "green companies," etc.) -- while decent, hard working Americans, along with our troops and assorted targets of the enemy administration, continue to be punished by the traitor in the White House. Obama and his entourage feast on Kobe steaks, holding party after party in the White House, squeezed in between his 124th round of golf.

But no Fleet Week. *spit*

Billions to the Muslim Brotherhood and jihad nations and al-qaeda tied groups but no fleet week.

NYC's Fleet Week festivities have been officially cancelled. No sailors or ships will be sent to New York—the military's statement is, "Unfortunately, there will be no Navy ships in New York this year for Fleet Week and no additional Sailors or Marines. We look forward to the opportunity to participate in future Fleet Weeks and we greatly appreciate the city's patience and understanding during these unusual times. Thank you NYC for what you do for our service men and women each and every day. Hope to see you next year!"

In addition to the LIV’s and the RAT’s, let's also include all those who could have, but would not vote for the Presidential candidate who is NOT A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST/MARXIST/REVOLUTIONARY/MUZZIE SYMPATHIZER AND TRAITOR WHO CONSORTS WITH THE ENEMY AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF THE USA, Mitt Romney. He was “the lesser of the two evils”, as the saying goes, BUT, for the time period at hand, and out of dire necessity, we would not be in the horrendous position to the extent that we are. We would have bought time, until Romney could be replaced. with a Conservative who could WIN. So, how's that workin’ out for you. Moral of the story...learn to understand the strategy of a plan of action, learn how to use the moment/opportunity to buy time, until a better candidate (Conservative who CAN win)is available, learn how to look at the BIG PICTURE, and realize how it can ultimately benefit you, until you can move forward and make the further changes that are necessary. There will be times when we must put aside our wishes, and do the things that will allow us to survive to see another day, another election, that is if we all work together and do our part to save the Constitution, our Liberty and Freedom, our culture, our country tis of thee.

[Seattle Conservative]

Seafair is a big deal in Seattle every summer. There are related local community events all summer long (parades, etc.). The big weekend has hydroplane races on Lake Washington, with the Boeing Air Show, featuring the Blue Angels. We have Fleet Week (primarily Navy & Coast Guard ships) the week leading up to the ‘big weekend’.

We don’t get the Blue Angels this year (due to ‘sequester cuts’), we’re getting a group out of Calif called the Patriot Jets Team. Also, I heard we will not get Navy & Coastie ships this year (can’t find anything on it so far), but that a Canadian ship was going to be on-hand for tours.
Given that we have a Navy base at Bremerton (across Puget Sound from Seattle) and a Navy base in Everett (just north of Seattle); and, Coasties are in the Puget Sound waters, it seems to me it wouldn’t cost all that much to get a few Navy and Coastie ships here.

It really ticks me off that Fleet Weeks and Blue Angels events are being cancelled due to “sequester cuts” (which we all know is baloney). We can’t have Fleet Week to interact with and thank our military, but the Won can give $30B to Kenya, $$s here, $$$s there, golfing here, concerts at the WH, etc.
