RBPundit pointed out this press release earlier today on Twitter. It’s a March 2011 missive from the president of the National Treasury Employees’ Union, which represents, among others, IRS employees:

So it still does not mean you can infringe upon the first amendment rights of them.
Well, I’m no big fan of the IRS or its employees.
Does that mean I can start harrassment and intimidation actions?
Ya think? Hard to imagine two constituencies farther apart on the political spectrum.
The truth is the gubmint employee unions HATE the Tea Party people. They are full of rage and venom. They hate us and they want to hurt us, and they have car bumper stickers that say “Hate is not a family value.”
For a political / Government apparatchik to make a statement like shows he is very confident of his position, comfortable that he was speaking to a sympathetic audience, and expected no retribution or reaction to his comments.
It shows how confident, and arrogant, they have become.
They really must be taught a strong lesson this time. We may not be able to change the ideology of the Government Party and Washington DC, but they must at least learn to fear, and to think twice before they act.

Nothing pleases a leftist more than seeing the government used to punish people that don’t agree with them.
An Obama spokesperson was all over the Sunday news shows, stating that the murder of four Americans in Benghazi was irrelevant.
What is going to become irrelevant, if we don’t stop the Obama administration and the Democrat Party, will be the constitution.
The Democrats, in their current iteration, are Statists, who do not believe in a higher power than the State. They believe that all rights emanate from the government, the government giveth and the government can take away to redistribute. This belief in the omnipotent power of the State negates the checks and balance system that is built into the constitution. Take away the checks and balance system and the constitution is irrelevant.
The Democrats and many Libertarians would argue that absent a belief in GOD, there is no higher power than the State. Well, under our constitution, there is a higher power than the State, UNDER GOD, and that is WE, THE PEOPLE.
….but first, we must take back control of the government from the public sector unions. We, the people are the owners of government, the politicians are supposed to manage the government to benefit of the people, not to the benefit of a particular political party or the unions.
Use the courts to prosecute the politicization of the bureaucracy.
Free the IRS, disband the Treasury Workers Union.
They hate you for trying to keep more of what you earn.
We are at a crossroad in America. We have a ruling elite who are propped up by communist public employee unions which have grown into a voting block almost impossible to overcome.
Even the liberal FDR knew public unions should not exist yet those who believe in a large central planning government knew they could grow their own 98% lock step voting block in communist public unions.
We have to decide if we want to be on this path or return to the limited government concept given us by the brilliant Founders.
If we decide to return to the Founders plan then we must ask ourselves are we willing to risk as much as the Founders did?
Do we honestly think there are enough Americans with a similar character as the Founders?
Strict 10th amendment enforcement BY THE STATES
is the only way to avoid a bloody revolt.
