Well, give him points for creativity at least.
When asked to account for his 118 visits to the White House within a two-year period, former IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman dug deep and managed to come up with one explanation: he took his kids to the White House Easter Egg Roll!
@jpodhoretz: 118 times in 104 weeks Shulman went to White House. why?"Easter egg roll " he actually said that. Bold.Dana Perino (@DanaPerino) May 22,2013
No kidding!
Too bad for the House Oversight Committee that the Easter egg rolls seem to be taking up all of Shulmans memory space:
Must have been an amazing easter egg roll. It's the only thing he remembers from all his visits to the White House.S.M (@redsteeze) May 22,2013
Good news: The former head of the IRS remembers the Easter Egg roll but apparently has no clue what went on in his agency #IRSKatie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) May 22,2013

These people honestly believe they’re untouchable.
People who think that way become very, very corrupt. It’s inevitable. It’s unavoidable.
Eventually they get so corrupt that no one can ignore it.
The only thing that will stop this outrageous lying under oath is having someone go to jail. Get with the program, Congress. You are being played the fool.
HAH! He was going to visit the waskawy wabbit! Every day is Easter at the Whitehouse!
Easter egg roll and 118 visits?
Did he actually say that?
If he actually did say that, did anyone on the committee have the presence of mind to ask if be was finally able to find the Golden Egg after so many visits?
This whole IRS shakedown was orchestrated from the White House and Obama certainly knew or at least ought to have known. This IRS harassment of conservative groups has the finger prints of Chicago thug politics...ditto DOJ targeting Fox news reporters and even a CBS reporter who did not sing the praises of Dear Leader.
People who are very very corrupt soon come to believe they’re untouchable as well.
If he was a Repub the “news” media would be blasting him for his arrogance and disrespect, and he’d be Joe-the-plumber’ed - we would know every bad thing about him by now.
Rotten Easter Eggs
You are entirely correct. Obviously unconcerned with pretrial testimony, every witness has provided evasive answers, feigned memory loss and ignorance, offered testy, confrontational and pugnacious responses...and now, what will go down in history, “The Easter Bunny response.”
but Muslims don’t believe in Easter....?!?
IIRC the follow up question was: “OK, and what did you do the other 117 times?”
Honestly, in my opinion (relatively new to Congressional hearings) the Repubs played a good game today. They were on the offensive, followed up on the previous questioners queries, and actually got some interesting points on the table - including Ms Leners 5th. (Most probably she can be called in again later.)
This guy smirked his way through every question — 118 visits and all he was willing to let come out of his mouth was the Easter Egg Roll.
In case you don’t know, Shulman is a DEMOCRAT DONOR.
‘nuff said!!!
Even though Cummings continues to complain that Bush appointed Shulman .. Cummings neglects to tell people that Shulman is a Dem donor.
I’ve sent a couple of notes to FOX, so I’m hoping they will finally allow it to be broadcast .. and what I’d like to see is somebody confronting Cummings with the truth about Shulman .. and watch him twist in the wind.
I’m at puke already with these democrats!!!!
What did the President know and when did he know it?
Jewish boy taking his family to an Easter Egg hunt....That is priceless.
Caliph Baraq only uses Kosher eggs.....
