You won't believe how much has changed since then. Notice anything peculiar (other than the fashions) in some of these photos? (Many photos at link)
Not just no, but oh hell no.
Lordy..you r a charmer!!
Btw..hold on to those vinyls ......they are making a comeback. Digital music redoes suck and everybody knows it.
I worked in an office next to two women who smoked all day, I came home everyday with a headache.
It’s definitely Long Island, but I’m thinking that all the malls look alike!
Obviously, Nirvana and the whole grunge scene hadn’t hit yet.
Yeah, and I hate when people fart in the public restroom.
I still pay records on occasion LOL
Some of that stuff is rare.
Definitely.
The photos of the concourses in that mall weren't empty like I saw in my own mall yesterday.
Sears was totally empty mid-afternoon except for the annex which has garden things and guys-stuff like tools and lawn mowers.
I didn't see ONE SINGLE clerk in sight in any direction, either, not even in the two cashier cubicles in my viewing range.
I got the willies....it was like being in a morgue at midnight.
I remarked on this to a clerk who appeared after about 5 minutes of my searching. I kid you not - she looked like she was going to cry She knows very well what's happening.
Thanks, Obama.

Cute photo...now I feel really old. :-)
:(
But what I am really interested in what costs 2.99 in the background there, A board game?
Shoot, I bought a Monopoly set a few months ago.
$15 BUCKS!!!!!!
I was 40 in 1990 and yes I used to smoke in the grocery store while shopping. I sure miss big hair.
Yeah, but my son was 2 when that picture was taken and I was 35, well old enough...
No people from India.....That’s one big difference.
Frostop!!!
Mall Hair, Mullets and Motley Crew Wannabe’s.
LOL
And the George Michael Preppies ... Before we figured out he was gay...
Born 1956, grew up on Long Island. Used to ride the bus to the South Shore mall in Bayshore which was a collection of outside entry stores back in the late 60’s-70’s. Vinyl albums and clothes were my top list of items to buy. Now the Brentwood, Bayshore area has become like little Guatemala.
The one I frequented still exists!
Salem Oh.
