In response to IRS officials today admitting that its agents actively targeted Tea Party groups for increased scrutiny during the 2012 election, TheTeaParty.net, the nations largest Tea Party group, and a subject of IRS inquiries over the past year, issued the following statement...

We conservatives don’t need apologies. Apologies are cheap and don’t mean anything these days. The criminals at the IRS that did this and those who ordered them to do it need to be sent to jail.
Being “501(c)(3)” means that a particular nonprofit organization has been approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, charitable organization. “Charitable” is broadly defined as being established for purposes that are religious, educational, charitable, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering of national or international amateur sports, or prevention of cruelty to animals and children
Why does there need to be any income associated with it?
How much money is involved when there are small groups each with a common goal-
if each person pays their own way at a restaurant gathering, if people meet at each others homes, if they go to a local street rally, if they each are writing their congressmen, emailing each other, etc and a group leader in one town coordinates with the leaders of other small groups doing the same thing?
Stay under the feds radar.....

And what’s wrong with that being taxable?
Tax exempt just means they can control it.
Can they sue?
Can’t people gather and associate freely and “git er done” without being categorized as exempt, charitable, or some such thing?
I mean, what’s the point?
Exempt to me just means they have control, as what they tried to do with the tea party folks.
It cost money to have meetings. We collect money.
We have to have a filing.
I mean, why be exempt in the first place?
Stop.......
Look it up
Understand what you are saying, but you need to know that the IRS reads everything public. So one should be careful if ever talking about violating their laws in public. Would never do that myself and one should assume they do keep an eye on some of us here. Especially us old schoolers who are still typing.
Apology doesn’t cut it.
The DNC and the President of the USA activly targeted a political group for no other reason than expressing their Constitutional rights using an arm of the US Government!
Apology? No. Obummer over stepped his boundries! This fool has more skeletons than the White House has closets!
Fry the Bastards! and make it hurt!
You are talking about a group of people who refused to help Americans who were under attack just because it would hurt their reelection possibilities. Using the IRS as a political tool seems like child’s play in comparison.
OK will do.
I meant not to involve money changing hands, that way nothing for the feds to latch onto.
I do not mean to advocate breaking laws
Not involving money isn’t breaking the law :0
Paying for something with cash is the same as paying with barter according to the IRS. So there is no way to avoid their fees. Have spent quite a bit of time reading many IRS manuals. And I must admit that the brains of the DC government are working with the IRS. Some of that tax code is quite remarkable. They do know how to squeeze every drop of blood from a turnip. Got a feeling however that none of that will matter much in the future. Time will tell.
Is organizing for America, aka barry’s team, still classified as a 501 c 3?
How many ‘organization’ is soros involved in that are defined at 501 c 3’s?
This is so rotten it’s infuriating!
I’d like the answer you seek, from organizing for America.
You do know who they are right? Go ask why they are declared a 501c3, and let me know what they tell you!
Thanks
