Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) now each appear to be positioning themselves in the fight against the push for the Gang of Eight immigration bill in much the same way the Senates Tea Party triumvirate knocked down the lefts push for new gun control legislation.

I have to say that I have given up on the GOP. It seems that they are just another branch of the Democrats but fighting for a bit less. Have given up on all politicians now - it actually feels good though, no voting, no worrying, no cares. Yes, I do feel that my son will feel the effects but heck, he is a part of the university elite so what do I care, he will get his share at least for the short term.
Rand Paul may not be able to redeem himself but I would like to see him try. This illegal alien immigration bill will destroy our nation if passed. It simply must be defeated if we are to survive.
Counting on Ted Cruz to take a lead on this
Senator Jeff Sessions, from the great state of Alabama, is the real hero here.
He’s been shredding the legislation in detail.
I have high praises for Senator’s Cruz and Lee, too.
Rand Paul has some explaining to do.
Honestly, none of them are honest, they say one thing and then do the opposite. Rand Paul’s filibuster, covered the house funding of Obamacare. Check it out!
They all will pass an amnesty bill of some sorts, the mega corporations that support them demand it.
Funny you mention Sessions. I just wrote him a personal letter thanking him for his role in this bill. I shall mail it tomorrow. Let’s let him know he is appreciated.
I have to wonder, who actually read this dang bill? It seemed that last I really heard about it, before the marathon, the complaint was that no one had a chance to read it.
I was stunned and sickened to learn that Jan Jan gets final say on just about everything. I’d have to go dig through stuff to get the exact wording. Can anyone imagine that thing having even more of a say in who stays, who goes, and who else gets to enter? shiver!
Should be interesting to hear what they have to say, at this point, I am more than willing to hear Rand out. He has disappointed me but one never knows. Ted is the man, I could listen to him any day, more sense and intellect then the whole bunch of them. And Jeff Sessions is a gem, he has a very disarming way about him that I find quite clever.
Good on you!
He’s one of our very best!
BTTT!
I think it should be referred to as THE GANG OF OCHO!
For Mehhicccan outreach, natch.
“Senator Jeff Sessions, from the great state of Alabama, is the real hero here.”
Thanks for mentioning it, Onyx, Sessions is the steady, reliable voice in this. If not for him, we’d have gotten the Bush/McCain/Kennedy amnesty. Of course, Norquist insists he has ‘marginalized’ Sessions.
Tell him thank you!

During the 2006 debate, Sessions really got to the nasty bottom of the amnesty debate:
“”If the American people had not been stiff- armed by an arrogant, elitist bureaucracy and and political class we wouldn’t have between 11 and 20 million people in our country...””

Thanks so much, AuntB.
We are grassroots.
No matter how tired or busy we are, it’s important that we always make time to thank our heroes.
I sent Senator Sessions a thank you note this morning.
