If news about the TSA agent stealing an iPad from a tourist or the TSA agents forcing an injured Marine to remove his prosthetic legs made you mad, this one will leave you absolutely fuming.
On February 2, TSA agent Christopher Wilkie, a nine year employee of the TSA and resident Long Beach, NY was arrested for hitting his 75-year old mother.
Wilkie, age 42, was arrested near his mothers home after a witness saw him strike his mother while they were inside a car. He was charged with third-degree assault on a person over 60, second-degree harassment, second-degree threatening and two counts of breach of peace.
This arrest comes on the heels of Wilkie being arrested the previous day after police obtained a warrant for his arrest stemming from an incident in December 2012 when he assaulted his psychiatrist and made threatening and harassing phone calls to the psychiatrist and his staff.
According to his arrest warrant affidavit, Wilkie was waiting when the psychiatrist pulled into his office parking lot at around 6:30am. Wilkie, who had a 7:00am appointment, approached the psychiatrists vehicle. He grabbed him by the shirt and all but hauled him out of the car window, saying, You are out to get me. I will get you and your daughter. In another situation I would have killed you. My people are coming to give you your instructions tomorrow.
Surveillance video also shows Wilkie taping a note to the psychiatrists office door that read, I am on to you, you f*cking punk.
Wilkie, who had been a TSA agent for nine years, had his bond reduced to $10,000. He has been forbidden to go near his mothers home. He will also be going to another psychiatrist for care.
Was she trying to sneak shampoo or a water bottle into his automobile? At least he didn’t grope her, hopefully.
the shrink probably did make it worse not better
A day off without pay outta do it.
Maybe it was his way of saying “I love you”? Hey...these are “modern times”!
Obama will probably appoint him as the head of the TSA.
TSA agent Christopher Wilkie will receive substantial compensation, at the expense of taxpayers, for job related stress.
Why?
Sure, hitting mom is despicable and the TSA probably shouldn't hire confirmed psychos, but this has nothing to do with the guy being a TSA agent. He wasn't on duty harassing passengers.
