Under the Patriot Act the DHS has the absolute right to seize, without any warrant whatsoever, any and all customer bank accounts, to make periodic and unannounced visits to any bank to open and inspect the contents of selected safe deposit boxes.

The enemy is our own governmnet.
Communism.
This is incredible if true.
One step closer to the great conflagration.
Which means "any" selected safe deposit boxes . . . what's with this "selected" crap.
sfl
Looks like it is true. Read the story. Also it says:
“he DHS memo also stated that any bank employee that tells customers or members of the media of about the clandestine action “will be grounds for the immediate termination of the said employee or employees and their prosecution under the Patriot Act.”
Termination is comparatively minor, but there’s the threat of prosecution as well.
All money and property rightfully belongs to the big-government/big-corporate/big-union criminal complex.
You made your first post quite interesting.

This is the “Rumor” section of a discussion board, posted originally on January 30, 2011. The posters there have generally debunked this.
Snopes discredits this:

Furthermore, the poster is a newbie.
This one pegs the BS meter
A few years ago, we had a financial advisor look at things for us. He told me that some valuables we had in the safe deposit box were not safe due to new regs (patriot Act?).
So I said as a smart ass, “where do I keep them? In a tin can? “
He said “yup” and was not smiling. “The government proposed doing this during the 2007 financial collapse but changed their mind. It’s still possible though.”
I sure wish whoever started the Patriot Act, would have used more forethought...
....and lord forbid if a thread gets posted twice
This wont pass a SC challenge and i suspect youll hear an immediate one
This memo from the DHS was NOT directed at the banks.
It was directed to account holders.
Why??? like everything else they are doing, the goal is to collapse the system.
Banks depend upon a certain level of trust given them by account holders. Without it, they would not be in business.
This “memo” all by itself does more damage to the system than actually attempting to do what they say they can do.
1st of all, DHS does not have the manpower to start confiscating accounts on any large scale measure.
2nd, there is no good reason for them to bypass normal procedure (i.e. getting a warrant)
If after reading this article, you feel inclined to remove your assets from the bank, you are doing EXACTLY what the federal government wants you to.
Make no mistake... DHS knows what it’s doing, and the banks are powerless to stop them... It’s not about the security of your accounts and safe deposits, but rather about the trust you place in them.
