Obama: Gun Control Won't Lead to Confiscation Because 'I Am Constrained by a System Our Founders

DENVER (TheBlaze/AP) — Ratcheting up pressure for Congress to limit access to guns, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that recent steps by Colorado to tighten its gun laws show “there doesn’t have to be a conflict” between keeping citizens safe and protecting Second Amendment rights to gun ownership.

“I believe there doesn’t have to be a conflict in reconciling these realities,” Obama said in Denver, where he stepped up his call for background checks for all gun purchases and renewed his demand that Congress at least vote on banning assault weapons and limiting access to large-capacity ammunition magazines.

The president dismissed gun owners’ concerns that gun control legislation could be a stepping stone to gun confiscation in the U.S., saying “I am constrained by a system our founders put in place.”

When you listen to the nation's Liar In Chief on any subject I always wander back to:

As an Illinois state senator, Obama opposed gay marriage. During both inaugurations, he also swore – with his hand on the bible – to uphold the laws of the land.

In a June 2012 with the White House press corps, Obama said that the "private sector is doing fine. Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy is in the state and local government."

Obama's INS documents at the national archives are missing for the entire week (around August 1961) in which Ann Dunham was supposed to have returned to the United States with young Barack in tow.

I have learned in my very short time on this earth, if someone feels compelled to “deny” something, it is probably because he has been exposed as the liar he is and has to continue denying his true ambitions/goals in order to continue the lie.

Remember, the US Senate has not voted on a “universal firearms registration and background check” legislation yet and obama has to keep the lie to the American people going until at least there is a vote in the senate!

After that, he does not care what the American people think of him or wants, just so long as he gets to move the goal post one more inch closer to full “firearm confiscation” in the United States!

I had the exact same thought! This “constrained” statement is ripe with underlying meaning!

For example, “I need to be free from these archaic limitations.” Or, “Let’s ‘fundamentally change’ the government ‘system’.” Or, “I have no respect for the foundational principles of this nation. I want to rule without constraint.”

There’s more. But not now.
