No where is the left's hypocrisy on display more than the 2nd Amendment debate. Check out this Democrat lawmaker:
"As a hunter and gun owner, I will not give up my guns and I will not ask other law-abiding Americans to give up theirs," says Thompson, 62, a former state legislator and eight-term congressman.
But he wants YOU to give up YOUR guns because "it's common sense"
"I know a lot of NRA members and I don't know of any who think they should have the same weapons as the police or military -- or should be able to buy a gun without a background check. What we're hearing from is the real extreme."..."I'm a gun guy, but I carried an assault weapon in Vietnam. And if I never see another one, it'll be too soon," says the former Army infantryman, who earned a Purple Heart.
Assault weapons "give a bad name to gun owners," Thompson continues. "There are more people who don't own guns than do. If they think all of us gun owners are running around with assault weapons, that's going to do us a real disservice. And we'll just fall out of favor with the voters."
He's a hunter so I'm sure he has one of these:
Which is the same EXACT thing as this gun:
Except for one little thing...it looks ssssccccarrrrry.
And us police and military are the only ones who should be allowed to own scary looking guns.
What a disgrace.
Meanwhile The Hill writes about Obama's use of executive order to accomplish gun control by fiat.
The executive steps will give federal law enforcement officials access to more data about guns and their owners, help keep guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill, and lay the groundwork for future legislative efforts....A key factor in strengthening the NICS database, they say, is getting states to report more information on mental health and criminal history records.
Earlier this month, the DOJ announced a $20 million grant program aimed at incentivizing states to submit more mental health and criminal history information into the NICS database.
...Also this month, the White House Office of Management and Budget said it would consider changing rules to make it easier for states to share mental health records with the NICS.
JeffG tears apart the article:
...privacy concerns here, with respect to the 2nd Amendment, are characterized as a kind of obstacle, a second obstacle being heretofore a lack of bribe money available to incentivize states to sell out the privacy of their citizens. King Obama, blessed be He and His Name, has fixed that, however. By executive fiat. Moreover, the article suggests, the NRA has been standing athwart common-sense anti-privacy measures yelling stop! and as a result, bad people have done evil things. Liberty being well and truly overrated if what comes along with are concerns over security, particularly, the government being out of every conceivable monitoring loop to protect us from ourselves.
Yet, the reason the NRA and other civil liberties groups dont want to give the government access to an inventory of our private property, or details of our health particularly with respect to our weapons is not, as this article intimates, that they are pro-crazy people with guns, but rather because they know, as do we, the government to be political, and so its aims and motivations and policy are always going to be driven by ideology and expedience, two dangerous threats to rights that are supposedly out of the purview of man, especially once the checks and balances are removed from the equation.

Obama does not own a gun.
Obummer does not carry a gun.
Eleanor Roosevelt owned a gun, knew how to hit a target, and carried her gun, a long-barrled pistol, in her car all the time.
Let`s all chip in and buy Obummer a dress
source: "MRS. ROOSEVELT CARRIES PISTOL NEW YORK, March 7 (IP)Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt carries a long barreled pistol on her frequent motor trips about the country, friends said tonight, as a concession to the secret service and not because she fears for her own safety. "If you want to get her down on you "for good," one of them confided, "just hint that she is afraid to travel alone." The President's wife disclosed in New Orleans yesterday that she carries a pistol in her automobile and "can use it." She added that she had the "same training with a pistol that the New York National Guard has." Mon. March 9, 1937 "Plattsburgh Daily Press"
That’s pretty awesome! Thanks for the scoop on Mrs. Roosevelt.
Haha, love it :)
“I would just like to note that my gun is tan, and is therefore not as scary as black gunz.”
I would just like to note that my “assault” rifle that fires every time I pull the trigger and has a 25 cartridge magazine, is PINK, therefore not as scary as black gunz.
king Barry - DICTATOR!
I saw a poster yesterday that said, Our founding Fathers would be shooting by now.
"....except, of course, for assault weapons, semiautomatic weapons, sniper rifles, big handguns, Saturday Night Specials, concealable handguns, scattergun shotguns, any weapon that can take a detachable magazine, revolvers, derringers, 'throwaway' single-shot weapons, weapons that have pistol grips, black firearms, military-ammunition firearms, too-quiet assassination .22 weapons, Wild West lever action rifles, pump weapons, breechloaders, dangerous black powder weapons, and weapons that fire biohazards like lead."
Ain't a damn thing wrong with pink "assault" rifles!
Though I am certain Joe "Stupid" Biden would disagree.
I do own a Tyranny Response Rifle.
MOLON LAVE
won’t happen, they are a protected species
3d printing?
electrical garage exprimental projectile drivers?
Yet another reason to impeach.
I had two 38 revolvers but that was only 14 available cartridges to fire and I live by myself so there's not someone else to fire along side of me. Started looking for a 22LR rifle last January, looked every day on the web at every website I could find that sold weapons.
One day, I clicked on Kentucky Gun Co. that was one I checked everyday, and there was a Dealer Exclusive PINK Ruger 22 LR. Hey, PINK is my favorite color, grabbed my credit card and bought it. Hunted for cartridges every day and now have 600 rounds CCI hollow points for it. Had already bought a 25 cartridge magazine Hot Lips before I even found the rifle. Then, put in an order at Ruger company for a Ruger made 25 magazine and now have that.
Had to get the rifle sent to a gun range here for me to fill out paper work and pick it up. I must say the guys standing around had never seen a PINK one.
A zombie would have to expend a lot of time to get through my door (can't get through the window), and when he sees a PINK rifle he may think it is a TOY. Shortly after that, he will be dead from suicide by PINK rifle.
I just finished doing my tax return today and have to pay a lot of money so if a zombie shows up today, he's dead because I'm in a bad mood to have to pay Hussein tax money to waste.
A while back I was watching an episode of Sons of Guns wherein the owner’s daughter assembled an ar-15 with pink furniture on it.
I’m not sure I had seen one before that, but I must say I was impressed that she assembled the entire weapon, made it the way she wanted it, then fired it on the range.
Now, as a guy, it makes sense that I must stick with my tan colored weapon, I mean that’s just the way it goes I suppose, but I tell you if a lady with a pink weapon wanted me to fire along side her, I would be damn proud and honored to do so.
I find a woman who can operate a weapon effectively and is not intimidated by or even outright opposed to guns for whatever reason to be a treasure.
Women need to be able to defend their freedoms and rights just as any man, and I tell you if I had a daughter, I would train her on firearms as soon as she was old enough, and if she wanted a pink gun, she would have one.
I have an interesting book I bought from the WILLIAMS GUN SIGHT COMPANY about forty five years ago.
HOW TO CONVERT MILITARY RIFLES.
In it you see evil 5 shot bolt action military rifles from around the world.
Remove the walnut stock, replace with pretty walnut stock.
Remove sights, replace with pretty sights.
Remove bayonet lug.
Reblue, drill for scope mounts.
Now you got a blessed 5 shot bolt action rifle.
Freedom From War, Publication 7277, State Dept. 1961.
Reducing nuke stockpile. Internal security forces - ie "we need a civilian military AS STRONG as ou military". Cutting regular military down - a sizeable part of which is operating under UN command or fulfilling UN objectives. Disarming citizens. The latest UN small arms treaty crap. Destroying the last superpower by killing the economy and creating economic crises by printing money like water. Getting ready to Cyprus our 401k's into "government bonds" and private bank savings into "stock/equity in the bank" your money's in - worse than FDIC-insured. Not far fetched as he hates America, walked around for months with the Post-America book he was reading, has all national intelligence assets looking at anyone who is "anti-government" (anti-Obama) as a threat. (And in case you didn't know, Freedom From War, the UN treaties do not allow civillians to remain armed - which means confiscation, by force if necessary.)
Do not think they will not take your supplies as well, as these emergency orders will also allow them to take any of your property they need. Once they disarm you it won't be hard.
This is what it's all about. In its "Second Annual Report to Congress" (February 1963), the ACDA presented a simple graphic depiction (see top of next page) demonstrating its proposed three-stage disarmament process:
U.S. THREE-STAGE DISARMAMENT PLAN
I am just 5'5” and about 125 lbs. I am no match for a man. It makes me mad just to think about some jerk who thinks I can't defend myself.
I have a “Cold Steel” company made bat. Just looks like a black baseball bat with the white words “Brooklyn Smasher” on it. Biden would call it an “assault” bat, cause it will crush a skull on the first strike. Heavy weight is in the strike zone and I got the longer one so I would be as far away from the “crushee” as I can get. That innocent bat is inside my front door about a body's length from the front door. It is made to be a weapon, not a regular baseball bat.
Actually, my downstairs has numerous weapons that don't look like weapons.
Upstairs, on the back of my bedroom door, which one would have to see before opening that door, I taped a gun range large silhouette of a man and the chest and head and groin area has multiple 38 special bullet holes that I shot into that target.
A male family member saw that and laughed. I asked him if he was a bad guy and broke in my house, would he open that door. He said he would never go in that room.
I suggest every woman do that as it will make a bad guy stop and think before going in there and if he has any love for his life, he may turn and leave.
I think one has to have an “attitude” that some dickhead (can I say that on here?) is not going to ruin my day. His will be over forever and mine will continue.
Because I look like such a nice lady, my husband used to say I was his secret weapon - what you see is not what you get.
I definitely think that you have the proper attitude for self defense.
The idea of having different offensive items stashed around this house is good, because a perpetrator would be placing himself at a disadvantage stepping into your realm not knowing its secrets as you do.
However, if I may offer a suggestion regarding the bat. Personally I would not attempt to rely on that too heavily for a number of reasons.
Essentially, you are likely to only get one swing with it before an attacker can overwhelm your position. If you swing horizontally, he can duck, charge and then perform a take down, at which point the bat is no longer effective.
If you swing vertically in a downward fashion, he can sidestep then rush and takedown.
Also, even if you got a direct hit on the temple, perhaps he is on meth or something similar and will not even notice the blow until later.
All he has to do versus a club weapon is get too close to you in such a way that the sweet spot of the bat cannot effectively connect, and it is defeated as a weapon.
Not saying it shouldn’t be there in case it can be useful, but it can also be defeated. I’ve got weapons in various places around my house so that if someone enters quickly, I have a number of possible options. There’s no kids here, so a child finding one of my weapons is not a concern.
I guess if someone saw what I have about, they might assume I’m crazy, and maybe they are right, but I do know that I also live in a crazy world with many crazy people, and if any of them want to try to take me here, I want all the advantages.
I also love the idea of your target silhouette being displayed on the door. That is great, and I expect it would be an effective psychological deterrent.
