This is a little late, but still wacky. On his radio show March 15, Fox News host Geraldo Rivera thinks the Irish really ought to take God out of Saint Patrick's Day.
"Having been a participant in plenty of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, I just have to say that one of the last things on my mind [was] to venerate St. Patrick. God bless him and all he did, [but] I just don't believe the celebration, I think it's largely a secular celebration," he argued. "More like Mardi Gras, isn't it?"
whoraldo is a media WHORE. Always was and will always be.
HATE HIM!
Time to take Al Capone’s vault out of St Patricks day too, Jerry.
God has already largely been taken out of St. Patrick’s day. When I was in elementary school 30 years ago, it was all about wearing green, eating cookies tinged green by food coloring, and pinching the kids that forgot to wear green. No mention of God or even who St. Patrick is in all of it.
As an adult, it’s an excuse to take the day off and get drunk off your ass. If anything, I would’ve expected a drive to put God back in it.
The great “conservative” blabbermouth has spoken. Take God out of Saints???
Why is Whorealdo still on WABC 770? He is stooopid and as soon as there is a hint of conservative caller, he “has to go”. Baaaaarf!
Uhh... No. Time to put God back in then. Saint Patrick’s Day is about Saint Patrick who served God. Just because people aren’t celebrating it in the right way doesn’t mean it’s original meaning and purpose should be removed.
Whorealdo is, and always has been, a joke.
Time to take Geraldo off the radio.
Why WABC radio replaced Crummy with Geraldo is a complete mystery.
Mardi Gras is religious in origin as well. It’s “Fat Tuesday”, the day before Ash Wednesday. Jerry is a moron.
A dork who is almost as ugly on the outside as on the inside.
I guess Rivera wants to take Christ our of Christmas too!
wait...we have thousands of drunk fake-Irish walking around the streets and you want to take God out?
Is Geraldo trying to bring about the apocalypse?
St. Patrick's Day is about the Irish remaining Catholic in Protestant (now secular) America. Stuff it, Geraldo.
As I recall, there was some genius on CNN who wanted to do just that.
This cannot be an accident that media people are doing this. These people are
evil and deceptive in so many ways that I've never seen in public.
I pray for this nation, and I pray that people see the recognizable actions that
the attack on God is an attack on the base principals of true freedom of which this
nation was created.
Drunk with their own egos they worship themselves over all else.
Remind me, isn’t Mardi Gras also of religious origin? What an Einstein!
I guess Rivera wants to take Christ out of Christmas too!”
You mean that day that Christians insist upon celebrating right in the middle of the Winter Holiday? /s/
