Local TV station CYBC reports that police in the Cyprus' capital are scuffling with protesters (including employees of Cyprus Popular Bank) outside the nation's parliament:

I have a strong feeling this entire attempted bank heist would have gone down a lot differently if Cyprus had a Second Amendment. Which is exactly why the Founders put it in our Constitution.

The latest idea floated by the Cypriot government, the “Solidarity Fund” was rejected by the troika about an hour ago.
The Russians don’t seem to be forthcoming.
Well, I guess they can always sell the whole enchilada to the Turks. Heckuva bargain-basement price: 20 billion for a nice Mediterranean island. LOL! I’m being facetious, of course.
