I’d reliably heard over 20 million but have seen the government try to spin the number as 10 million.
That’s a lot of scofflaws. Who then engage in identity theft and/or falsified identity presentation. Who then engage in under the counter payments and/or underreported earnings to the IRS. Some whom them wire money back to Mexico, wonder if any of them then seek public assistance because “they have no money of their own”.
The list of crimes snowballs.
Next they will want an exemption in prohibitions on government employment and financial assistance for failing to register for selective service.
Once they get that ‘free’ Obamacare, our premiums will “necessarily skyrocket”.

These numbers are much more realistic than the bogus data provided by the government.
Back around 10 - 12 years when George ‘Dubya’ Bush was pushing his illegal amnesty, we were told there were around 12 million already here, with about 1 million new arrivals every year. Even then there were non-government estimates of a more realistic 20 to 30 million.
Now we are told there are only 10 million here.
It sounds like these numbers are worked up by same people who do the calculations for Obama’s monthly employment/unemployment reports.
If you want to see a reaction from the pro-amnesty crowd just ask them if they are willing to limit their proposed amnesty to the 10 million illegals they claim are here now and to deport all those in excess of 10 million.

A couple of years ago, a caller to Rush gave out a shocker. He wouldn't give out which government agency he worked for but said that they're still dealing with administration and paperwork from the Reagan amnesty as of that year. So the last one is now going on at least 26 years.
It is frustrating for me to see some claim that there isn’t enough money to deport them.. yet, those same people don’t stop and consider how much MORE it would cost keeping them, here, supporting them... o.O

My estimate of 38 million illegal aliens residing in the United States is calculated, however, using a conservative annual rate of entry (allowing for deaths and returns to their homelands) of three illegal aliens entering the United States for each one apprehended. My estimate includes apprehensions at the Southern Border (by far, the majority), at the Northern Border, along the Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf of Mexico coasts, and at seaports and airports. Taking the DHS average of 1.2 million apprehensions per year and multiplying it by 3 comes to 3.6 million illegal entries per year; then multiplying that number by 10 for the 1996–2005 period, my calculations come to 36 million illegal entries into the United States. Add to this the approximately 2 million visa overstays during the same period, and the total is 38 million illegal aliens currently in the United States. Democrats ‘sell’ citizenship in exchange for these people voting for them. If we’re going to whore the country let’s make some real money at it - let’s sell citizenship to the highest bidder and use the money to pay down the debt.
