Robert Spencer to appear at CPAC after all -- as part of "Uninvited" panel
Mar. 14, 2013 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 03/15/2013 11:53:21 AM PDT by AuntB

I was aced out of the CPAC People's Choice Blog Award by those who were desperate to avoid discussion of the Islamic supremacist ties of Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan. Well, they're going to get it anyway: "'The Uninvited': A Session of Controversial Speakers and Topics," from Breitbart News, March 14:

March 14, 2013 (Los Angeles, CA) – Breitbart News Network announced today that it will host a special two-hour session of controversial speakers and topics. The session will also include active audience participation.

Among the topics covered: Crony Capitalism, Global Jihad, Illegal Immigration, the ongoing global persecution of Christians, and the gutting of the American Military.

Speakers include Former Attorney General of the United States Michael Mukasey and NY Times best-selling author and Breitbart Editor Peter Schweizer.

Panelists will include Robert Spencer, Dan Goure, Nina Shea, Rosemary Jenks, Frank Gaffney, and Pamela Geller.

Larry Solov, CEO and President of Breitbart News Network, said, "Andrew Breitbart never shied away from tackling controversial issues. He also understood that people need vigorous and sustained discussion and debate to make their own informed decisions. It is in Andrew’s spirit that we are proud to host this event.”

Breitbart Managing Editor Alex Marlow, Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro, and Editor-at-Large Larry O’Connor will also participate.

Stephen K. Bannon, Executive Chairman of Breitbart News Network, said, “This session is not simply about speakers and panelists, but about direct engagement and participation by the CPAC audience. Andrew Breitbart believed in more voices, not less, and that is what this session will be about. We will get as many people as possible to the microphone to ask their questions and engage our speakers.”

The session will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in National Harbor Rooms 4 and 5, from 1:00-3:00PM.

CPAC is hosted at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

Schedule of Events:

The session will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in National Harbor Rooms 4 and 5, from 1:00-3:00PM WooHOO! THIS I would love to see. Bet there was a lot of anal retention going on during this discussion by the CPAC big whigs.

I see there are a couple immigration people on the panel who were also banned from speaking by Al Cardenas, head of ACU with the help of Marco Rubio. SEE: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2996905/posts?page=16#16

Another headline today:
Norquist: Cuccinelli Should Show He’s Serious About Holding Line on Taxes (Newsmax)

What’s this all about....Cuccinelli won’t sign Grover’s ‘pledge’...and he doesn’t support AMNESTY!

AT some point, republicans have to realize that Grover has never accomplished one thing to control government spending, all he’s done is collect money and made he and his muslim wife very rich!

Another cpac post by Spencer today:
Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR) at CPAC: U.S. fighting against “radical Islamic jihad”

Question 1: Would “moderate Islamic jihad” be OK?
Question 2: Did Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan usher Cotton out the door as soon as he made this speech?
Question 3: Cotton endorses the misadventures in Afghanistan and Iraq, despite their manifest failure. How much American blood and treasure does he expect the U.S. to commit to the futile effort to bring “democracy” to those countries?

But I quibble. It is good to see these truths being enunciated, even if not fully, at CPAC.[snip]

Excellent! Glad to see these folks speaking...even if they’re not on the priority invitation list. Bless Breitbart News for hosting this. Bannon tells CPAC to pizz off.

I think this is a mistake. If CPAC doesn’t want to invite conservatives, then conservatives shouldn’t sneak in thru the back door. Instead, we should tell CPAC to get lost, and go start another conference, which would end up relegating CPAC to the dustbin. By doing it this way, these conservatives are lending false legitimacy to CPAC and prolonging its existence as a RINO front.

GREAT to see Pam Geller getting a chance to speak albeit at this “off-site” gathering.

However....

Isn’t Sarah Palin scheduled to speak at this time to the CPAC group?

Not a wise time choice to maximize the number of attendees.

Better lineup on this agenda than CPAC itself.

I think this is exactly what Breitbart News is doing. These panels are not under CPAC. They are in competition with CPAC, but at the same venue.

“Better lineup on this agenda than CPAC itself.”

Agreed! THAT is why Cpac tried to keep them all out.

Ah, well that is better. It sounded to me like it was just a Breitbart forum at the CPAC event.

This is a common occurrence at conventions. The opposition sets up nearby.

Isn’t Sarah Palin scheduled to speak at this time to the CPAC group?

Sarah's slot is 12:00 noon for 16 minutes, which gives people plenty of time to head over to the start of the "Uninvited" panel at 1:00.

I am just posting a comment that is right on! See below:

Unfortunately, many Conservatives still aren’t aware that two of the most influential organizers of CPAC— Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan—are fighting together to eliminate any dissenting voices about the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.
Why is this?.
Suhail Khan, moderator of a small CPAC panel was asked about his previous year’s statement at CPAC, “There is no Muslim Brotherhood in America.” It was pointed out to Khan, the Muslim Brotherhood via CAIR had said, “Yes, we are here in America”, along with four federal U.S. judges who also declared the same. When asked if he desired to retract his statement; the questioner was asked to leave the conference room and was ridiculed by Khan and his followers.
Was not this a legitimate question? Why was it not answered?
What is the purpose of CPAC? If Khan’s denial of the Muslim Brotherhood, in America, position is acceptable, then an individual’s principles are no bar to CPAC membership. If an individual’s principles are not important, then CPAC is a fraud!
Would Ronald Reagan approve of CPAC’s direction?
