Since Governor Rick Scott's capitulation to Obamacare and move to expand Medicare, it is clear that conservative's need to replace him. There is no more appropriate choice than Colonel Allen West to lead our state in this perilous time.

Wishful thinking West can get elected statewide in Florida. Just look at the results in 2012 and 2008. It is as purple as it gets. West should move to a genuine red state.

CONGRESSMAN West voted in favor of the NDAA.
CONGRESSMAN West voted against trimming down Obamacare.
CONGRESSMAN West stated publicly he wants "Justice For Trayvon©".
And the difference is...?

Rick Scott was the darling of the Tea party till now, they are walking away from him. West would be a perfect replacement but the last election proves it will be an exercise in futility...Its my understanding that south Florida is riddled with Charlie Crist billboards. If that is the case Charlie may as well win the next election as a rat. Broward County's voter fraud pretty much proves that the rest of the states votes does not matter.

West’s district was only stolen through voter fraud. Murphy’s popularity is low. Romney won the district.

Before people go off half-cocked for Allen West, please ask yourself what do you really know about him. Ask yourself what you thought about Colin Powell back in the early 90's.
Seriously, do not put him on some pedestal until he has not been proven.
I really do not understand the desire to have a black Republican to do well. I don't care about the color our Republican candidates, but it seems too many folks get mesmerized by the color of skin and do not really vet the candidate.
When I hear a coherent, specific and conservative plan from West, then I will be all for him. His presidential run in the primaries was not full of specifics.
There are too many Tea Party clingers out there that are being exposed everyday.

I used to live in FL. All of my family still does. I am sure all of us would support West over Gov. Squat.

Best suggestion I’ve read all day. Would love to see him move to Texas and run against Cornyn. Can’t even imagine how wonderful it would be to have he and Cruz as our Senators.

When did he run for president?Forgive me, I was wrong.
I actually wanted him to run for president, and it was at a time when he was in the news more often.
That doesn't change my last post. I wanted to hear more from him. I wasn't ready to vote for him.

He was my number one guy, (To VP for Sarah in 2016), from the first time I heard him speak, and I was right there with you on your thoughts....until he voted FOR the Nazi Germany style NDAA thing. What a crock. No TRUE Conservative could possibly support indefinite detention of American citizens, by our own military, on our own soil, with ZERO due process required by the Feds to have that incarceration happen. I REALLY hope West can somehow believably walk that vote back. We will see I suppose.

I don't care what color he is. If he were polka-dotted, I would support him just the same.
He's already been vetted in combat. He passed with flying colors. He ended up having to resign from the Army because he was willing to break the rules to protect his men. He is fearless and speaks his mind -- just the kind of person we want in political office. He supports the Tea Party and understands what this country is all about. Now, I am sure there are things I will disagree with him about, but he has all the ingredients to be a fine Senator, Governor, and President.
