We can no longer negate Islamic Jew-hatred. it is time to negate the conventional wisom of ....Bernard Lewis. He is an apologist.
Dr. Andrew Bostom painstakingly makes the case: "Yet to this day, thousands of reports and opinion pieces later (search 'Morsi' + 'apes and pigs' using Google.com to estimate the vast output), only a handful have noted this irrefragable link to a Koranic verse (i.e., 5:60) declaring the Jews to be apes and pigs. The apotheosis of this negationist trend was captured in a January 27, 2013 Times of Israel interview of Charles Small, head of the itinerant Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP). Small piously proclaimed that ISGAP was uniquely committed to addressing what was framed as Islamic Antisemitism, because,
Theres a reluctance among scholars to open up this subject [i.e., Islamic Antisemitism]. This subject is dangerous, embarrassing. It touches on various political interests in international relations that people dont really want to engage with. However, also ignoring Morsis repetition of the Koran 5:60 apes and pigs reference, Small made this pathognomonic assertion, The danger does not come from Islam itself.
Muhammad Morsis Islamic Jew-Hatred, Bernard Lewis Islamic Negationism
Why do the medias Middle East pundits ignore the Jew-hatred intrinsic to Islamic doctrine?

There is no compromise possible. For a believing Jew or Christian, the Jews discovered the G-d both worship. The same G-d is blasphemed every day by the very existence of islam.
Bernard Lewis is Jewish himself and has been attacked in the past by the likes of Edward Said and Noam Chomsky. He is now 96 years old.
And your point is? Lewis wrote what he wrote and it is ignorant, dangerous, and fundamentally inaccurate (historically and religiously). His so called expert opinions lead to death for all non-muslims——and that would include all of the Jewish faith as well.
Lewis has been even-handed when dealing with islam culturally ("What Went Wrong?")
When dealing with its religious dimension, not so much. Perhaps he deluded himself that the cultural, religious and military facets of islam were seperable. After investing a lifetime in its cultural pursuit, denial and perhaps political correctness is unavoidable. He can't contemplate that the negatives of the islamofascist far outweighs its contributions to modern civilization.
If he doesn't consider his life a waste, he should.
