Today in Nevada, President Obama laid out his plan for comprehensive immigration reform, and right now, he needs to know who's ready to help get this done.
Add your name in support of the President's plan for immigration reform today.
Ask pretty much anyone, and they'll agree: Our nation's immigration system is broken. But working together, we can fix it so everyone plays by the same rules.
To that end, the President has proposed the following steps:
- Continue to strengthen and secure our borders; - Crack down on companies that hire undocumented workers; - Establish a legal path to earned citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants who are already here -- including children who were brought here through no fault of their own; - And streamline legal immigration for those who are already playing by the rules.
Solving this problem is not only essential to a strong economy and a thriving middle class, it's also the right thing to do.
The time to act is now.
The vast majority of Americans back a plan for comprehensive immigration reform. And just this week, a bipartisan group of senators offered their own plan for reform, which is consistent with the plan the President campaigned on -- an encouraging sign for working together in the months ahead.
As Congress begins to get to work on this issue, there are sure to be disagreements and bumps in the road. It won't be easy, and our success is in no way guaranteed.
But if we stick together, and keep at it, we can accomplish something truly historic.
President Obama is ready to fight for it.

“Our nation’s immigration system is broken”
How would we know? It’s not enforced.
The only immigration reform I want to see is deportation.
So what is the “path to citizenship” exactly?
It is not “reform,” though that is the Orwellian Newspeak the propagandists keep using.
It is amnesty.
Plain and simple.
Amnesty.
Just like we did back in the 80’s.
But at least four times as many this time around. And that is the known count. If we let those 11 million bring in all their family members, we have no idea what the total is.
GTFOOMC.
we can fix it so everyone plays by the same rules.

Immigration is “everyone plays by the same rules”
That idea doesnt need fixing...
But this is not immigration...
This is anti-immigration...
This is AMNESTY...
and a different set of “rules” than immigrants have to play by...
Immigrants already play by the rules...
Why dont illegal aliens have to too ???
AMNESTY is not fair to immigrants...
Pretty scary that I figured out what GTFOOMC stands for.. I’ll go one up: GTFOOMCYFWB’s!
Dear Mr President:
I am ready to lead the way
Regards;
Senator Marco Rubio (D, FL)
Me too John Mccain (D) Arizona.
Like someone who’d been robbing banks for a living, providing for his ex-wife/girl friend and his seven or eight kids, paid taxes on the money he stole and now asks for amnesty saying he won’t rob banks no more.
This is the permanent extermination of the GOP.
30 million illegals will create some 50 new congressional districts and almost all of them will be democrat. Just think of the costs, the pork, the earmarks, the entitlements, and liberal votes.
Illegals are government growth hormones and they’re fixin to spark a democrat population explosion.
Almost every single thing this POS says or does pushes the nation toward war.
I wish this fag Messina would tell us WHY we might want to “get ready to get this done”. Outside of making my vote totally worthless, how does “comprehesive ‘immigration’ reform” affect me? I’m sorry Jimmy but I don’t see why I should “get ready to get this done”. I’m an American not a foreign national.
