West Point “Think Tank” Warns against “Far Right” Threat
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 18 Jan 2013 | John Semmens

Posted on 01/20/2013 1:00:38 PM PST by John Semmens

A report issued by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. Warned against the dangers posed by the “far right” in America.

“There are elements in America that are excessively concerned with possible corruption or tyranny stemming from government,” wrote Arie Perliger, author of the report. “These elements place individual freedom and self-government ahead of respect for those duly authorized to govern them. They cannot be counted upon to obey directives designed for the public good and may evolve into a serious internal opposition to the government.”

The report contrasted “the obstructionist nature of these zealots for liberty with the more socially supportive views of those on the liberal side of the political spectrum. Rather than cling to out-dated ideas focused on individual rights, they back the progressive values the President is attempting to instill in all Americans.”

Perliger admitted that the thrust of the report “might be difficult to sell to many West Point students. A lot of the cadets are here out of some nostalgic notion that they are going to defend traditional values. Overcoming these misguided notions is a big job, but other countries, like China, have accomplished it. Armies can be trained to serve progressive causes. The Commander-in-Chief is counting on people like me to get it done here.”

Excessively concerned? Excessively? What?

I saw that quote and determined this is parody. If that was quoted by a character in one of those anti-government novels it’d be considered farfetched.

So......if we see treasonous, unlawful, unconstitutional, or Marxist trends in those who were duly elected, we need to turn the other way and/or bend over and grab the ankles? I don’t think we can find this concept in the Federalist Papers.

That Leftist pinhead, Tzipi Livni, in Israel says the same thing!

Livni Attacks Bennett in Heated Elevator Argument
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/164346#.UPxiDifLRe8

Tzipi Livni, leader of Hatnua, harshly attacked Bayit Yehudi chairman Naftali Bennett, in a behind-the-scenes incident that took place just before a televised interview pitted them against each other at week’s end.

According to Walla! News, the two rode the elevator together before appearing on Nissim Mishal’s show on Channel 2. Bennett initiated the conversation, telling Livni she had gone too far with a Facebook status in which she referred to a report that said Yitzhak Rabin’s assassin, Yigal Amir, was going to vote for Bennett.

Livni allegedly told him: “I don’t regret it; I don’t even want to talk to you.”

She also reportedly said: “You are an extremist, you are dangerous for the country and you do not know what democracy is.”

(FYI: The Bayit Yehudi party is on the Right side of the aisle.)

Except in this case it’s not parody.

You know John, I really like you and your work but, when I read one of your posts, not having seen your name, I am apoplectic after the first paragraph. This is not good for an old warrior.

PS Keep up the good work.

When people fear it's governments it's called tyranny. When governments fear it's people it's called freedom.

You better believe there is a serious opposition to government, and we won't sit around letting you continue to take away our freedoms. Get used to it assholes! You started the fight, we will finish it.

How Far Right? It is the Amish, Mennonite, Hutterite (all pacifists) threat or is it the Tea party adherents.

I know it is the Lefties - (Lefthanded People)Who are the Only Ones Whom are in their Right Mind.

I don’t think I have ever heard anyone express concerns about the danger of “the far left.”

Fifth column, exposed. Lock and load.

LOL...Never happen bud. As soon as someone actually did start taking out this anti-American filth, an over-whelming majority on this board alone would start praying for everything and anything EXCEPT the one (or one's) taking out the trash. Face it, the "right" is a little too kindly to get it's hands dirty (actually, they think they're saintly, but that is a different discussion). Which is why the "right" is being slaughtered at the hands of the left and every other enemy of America.

*shruggs* I'm going to protect me and mine. Let the other turn the other cheekers relish in their awesome "learning's", they will go down like lemmings just like warsaw.
