I haven't gotten my first paycheck of 2013 yet, but because I'm a person who pays some attention to the goings-on in our country, I'm well aware that it will be significantly lower than my last paycheck of 2012.
And it's not just the payroll tax thing. My health insurance premiums went up (thanks for nothing, Obamacare!), I've started a contribution to the United Way, and I've upped the amount I'm contributing to my flexible spending account. So yeah - I'm expecting a major plummet in my net take home pay.
But the jokers in this column? They were shocked - SHOCKED I SAY - that even though they voted for Obama, somehow their paychecks are lower. And they're not even part of the 1%!!!!
Some of the quotes were positively hysterical. BEHOLD:
"My paycheck just went down by an amount that I dont feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonna hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over 400 grand. What happened? - Democratic Underground commenter
Really, how am I ever supposed to pay off my student loans if my already small paycheck keeps getting smaller? Help a sister out, Obama! - Twitter
"F***ing Obama! F*** you! This taking out more taxes s*** better f***ing help me out!! Very upset to see my paycheck less today! - Twitter
"Obama I did not vote for you so you can take away alot of money from my checks. - Twitter
Obama is the biggest f***ing liar in the world. Why the f*** did I vote for him?" - Twitter
Yes. That's what I'd like to know. Why the F*** did anyone vote for him?
Actually, I know why. Because they are MORONS. As is evidenced by the total ignorance in the quotes from the people above.
And even though I have to suffer the consequences of their stupidity right along with them, I can't help but get a little bit of gleeful satisfaction from reading these stunned revelations about their Messiah.
You got what you voted for, morons!

Congratulations. People need to be aware of just how charitable charities really are.
Hubby brought a winters worth of firewood for my friend and we bought her gift cards to purchase what she needed
Bless you! Friends like you and your husband are priceless.
I worry about people who give money to the the UNited Way.
If you are a beer lover, do not miss the Kona Brew Pub. Happy hour 3-5pm M-F, beer is 1/2 price. We go once a week to slake my thirst. Usually get a large pizza too, which they do exceedingly well with some unique combinations.

I am and I won’t miss it! Thanks for the tip!
I will report back, of course :)
And the mental deficients who voted for him!
Go makai on Palani from Queen K Hwy, go right on Kuakini, and again right at the stop sign Kaiwi St. Right on Pawai Pl (first street) and the parking lot is at the end of the street. People get lost trying to find their way in have not been there before. Wednesdays can be crowded when the cruise ship is in.

UMMM! Spam Pizza with coconut and pineapple. To die for.
The 47% got a raise and will probably experience greatly expanded benefits over the next four years. Laziness is now a virtue and must be encouraged by government rewards.
