“without the second amendment, the entire Constitution is meaningless.”

What he said. So, to answer your question: YES.

If They Come for Your Guns, Do You Have a Responsibility to Fight?

It all depends on what your monthly financial expenditures are.

For example, what's your house mortgage payment? How much you paying for that 2012 Dodge Ram and/or that 2004 26' Sea Ray? You still putting your kid thru college?

So what's really important to ya, all of the above PLUS the kid's college education or giving up your guns?

And if you choose your guns, who's going to come to your rescue? The neighbor who chose "the above"?

If our Federal Government can decide that regime changes in other nations are necessary and are part of our announced international policy why can't “We, the People” make the same decision for our own government?

Remember our Federal Government's policy is an exercise of political and military power. So, why shouldn't we be able to exercise the same types of power in our own rights?

"If each of us takes out 2, 3 or 4, we win"

Yes. Another FReeper said to shoot once and go home. Excellent advice. A million cuts, at first. From everywhere. From nowhere.

“The “Minute Men” should also pledge to liberate it’s members from jail/prison if arrested for doing their “duty”.”

Agreed.

"If, and or when they demand our guns ..."

Sadly, when push comes to shove, most will simply hand them over. A few will try to hide them, some may die facing overwhelming fire from far superior forces.

Why? Because this isn't the late 1700's early 1800's. Groups of armed men can't come together in safety as they once could.

Today the federal government can fly drones over you and wipe you out using the video from the drone to pinpoint where you, and a few friends that are holed up with you. They have missiles, you have a few rifles at best.

Even if 'we the people' had a few hundred shoulder launched missiles we would stand little chance of defeating what the US Army and US Airforce could deploy against a large number of rifle carrying civilians... sad to say.

Yes.

You also have a responsibility to choose when, where, and how you engage the enemy.

Engaging a squad of soldiers on your doorstep with your babies sleeping upstairs, while romantic, is not calculated to move toward victory. It is a symbolic suicide.

The enemy should be engaged where they are weak, not where they are strong.

Fortunately, they have thousands of weak points - and most of them have absolutely no concept of what they are trying to stir up.

So, fight, yes, by all means - fight for victory, fight wise.

We can knock out power, make leaving the house a dangerous mission, stop trucks... The information age works both ways when obamaphones win votes. This society has become a soft, exposed shell that doesn't represent what we were even 40 years ago. That can work both ways.

You’re 100% correct.
I saw a post here suggesting everybody organize. That’ll make it easier for the federal prosecuter to prove conspiracy to commit acts of terror lol.

I think all the commandos here really think the revolution by armed patriots scenario has merit.
They don’t seem to grasp that it’s not colonial America or the wild wild west.

My advice to the would be commandos is join a paintball team. Spend the weekend playing army and wearing cammo. Using army speak like Charlie Tango Foxtrot.

Maybe a Revolutionary War re-enactment group would be better.

Sorry for the snark. I can’t help it, it’s just my nature.

I’ve read several of your posts pointing out the reality of the modern world. I agree with evrything you said.

It is not the middle of the night, “night of the Long Knives” type operation that people need to worry about, for the simple reason that there are too many guns to be policed up that way.

In fact, outside of a natural disaster, where people are forced to evacuate, followed by a slow and methodical, house by house search for guns, it is pretty hard to do it this way.

What the government would first do would be to locate and confiscate guns based on gun dealer records and gun check records, “Oh, were we supposed not to keep those records? Well it’s a good thing we did!”

They would prioritize a methodical sweep by starting with gun dealers, taking their inventories, and then they would focus on people who had accumulated arsenals of weapons, and weapons of unusual capabilities, like .50 caliber rifles and above.

The manpower needed for confiscation is staggering, even over the course of years, so the government would need a willing “army”, not the military nor local or state police.

The Nazis used the “brownshirts” Sturmabteilung, many of whom were criminals flushed from the prisons, given uniforms, and told that as long as they followed orders, they could pillage from the citizenry. In that there are some 2 million plus prisoners in the US, the government would most certainly consider this option.

They would have to have a core of paramilitary trained thugs. So much of this would be simplified if they could be issued drugs to make them obedient, which is not impossible.

The trouble is that the current administration, and many Democrats, ignorantly thing that those that join the military are incompetent, stupid and brutish, and yet will obey orders, no matter who gives them. So they imagine no difference between them and the paramilitary thugs they would need to confiscate all guns.

Likewise, they hold local and state police in the same contempt. Yet assume they will carry out federal orders without hesitation.

Bottom line, outside of a super major disaster that devastates the US, this is not going to happen anytime soon.

Drones aren’t even required. There’s almost no possible way to keep anything a secret.
If you have a job, own or rent a house, own a car, have a phone, have cable or internet. a bank account or credit card, there will already be plenty of info about you that can be used.

I think lots of folks are angry and spend too much time watching movies like Red Dawn.

“Guns? What guns? I bought that gun safe because it looks really cool!”

And when one of the fed goons puts a gun upside your head and tells you to open it, what are you doing to do, Mr. Rhinelander?

I once took an oath to defend the Constitution, and it did not have an expiration date. When, and if, an egregious action such as firearm confiscation occurs, that is exactly what I am sworn to do.

"The information age works both ways..."

Think about this - Obama locks down, pulls the plug on the internet - takes control of who can and who can't use cell phones - or just pulls the plug on most communication, except, of course - his conspirators in the national broadcast media. He rounds up known conservatives, locks them up, declares martial law, demands total evacuations of large tracts of homes - locks down large parts of major cities, and arrests anyone who opposes his actions in any way.

Civil war breaks out, gasoline and food can't be delivered or bought - you need government clearance to go anywhere. Tens of thousands are arrested and put in camps.

The Russians disarmed tens of millions - then exterminated the majority. Can't happen here? I fear it easily can.

Empty & enlist the prisons like the Germans did, and it will quickly become a matter of 'Your birthday suit 'shade' is your 'uniform'.
The overwhelming majority of prisoners & gangbangers are already Øbama supporters, or from families that supported him.

Too many factions in the fight nowdays. People who populate this site will soon be among the smallest.
With La raza's, libtards, black Øbama 97%'ers, and conservatives, what are the odds that one group (and the first 3 are already beholden to big gov.),
will be happy to 'Brownshirt' the others?

The fact that so many of them do support Ø is proof that it will be the 'minority' that offer any resistance.
And I would bet that the majority of 'law-abiding' firearms owners bought self-protection with the first 3 in mind!

That being said:
50+ million dead: Mao Ze-Dong (China, 1958-61 and 1966-69, Tibet 1949-50)
12+ million dead: Adolf Hitler (Germany, 1939-1945) - concentration camps, civilian deaths and dead Russian POWs
8+ million dead: Leopold II of Belgium (Congo, 1886-1908)
6+ million dead: Jozef Stalin (USSR, 1932-39)
5+ million dead: Hideki Tojo (Japan, 1941-44)
2+ million dead: Ismail Enver (Turkey, 1915-22)
1.7 million dead: Pol Pot (Cambodia, 1975-79)
1.6 million dead: Kim Il Sung (North Korea, 1948-94)
1.5 million dead: Menghistu (Ethiopia, 1975-78)
1 million dead: Yakubu Gowon (Biafra, 1967-1970)
900,000 dead: Leonid Brezhnev (Afghanistan, 1979-1982)
800,000 dead: Jean Kambanda (Rwanda, 1994

Goverment is THE biggest killer of its citizens!

Molon Labe !
I'm old anyway!
