"If, and or when they demand our guns ..."

Sadly, when push comes to shove, most will simply hand them over. A few will try to hide them, some may die facing overwhelming fire from far superior forces.

Why? Because this isn't the late 1700's early 1800's. Groups of armed men can't come together in safety as they once could.

Today the federal government can fly drones over you and wipe you out using the video from the drone to pinpoint where you, and a few friends that are holed up with you. They have missiles, you have a few rifles at best.

Even if 'we the people' had a few hundred shoulder launched missiles we would stand little chance of defeating what the US Army and US Airforce could deploy against a large number of rifle carrying civilians... sad to say.

We can knock out power, make leaving the house a dangerous mission, stop trucks... The information age works both ways when obamaphones win votes. This society has become a soft, exposed shell that doesn't represent what we were even 40 years ago. That can work both ways.

Drones aren’t even required. There’s almost no possible way to keep anything a secret.
If you have a job, own or rent a house, own a car, have a phone, have cable or internet. a bank account or credit card, there will already be plenty of info about you that can be used.

I think lots of folks are angry and spend too much time watching movies like Red Dawn.

Don’t you agree with us, Mr. Butler?

RHETT BUTLER: I think it’s hard winning a war with words, gentlemen.

CHARLES: What do you mean, sir?

RHETT: I mean, Mr. Hamilton, there’s not a cannon factory in the whole South.

MAN: What difference does that make, sir, to a gentleman?

RHETT: I’m afraid it’s going to make a great deal of difference to a great many gentlemen, sir.

CHARLES: Are you hinting, Mr. Butler, that the Yankees can lick us?

RHETT: No, I’m not hinting. I’m saying very plainly that the Yankees are better equipped than we. They’ve got factories, shipyards, coalmines... and a fleet to bottle up our harbors and starve us to death. All we’ve got is cotton, and slaves and ...arrogance.

MAN: That’s treacherous!

CHARLES: I refuse to listen to any renegade talk!

RHETT: Well, I’m sorry if the truth offends you.

CHARLES: Apologies aren’t enough sir. I hear you were turned out of West Point, Mr. Rhett Butler. And that you aren’t received in an decent family in Charleston. Not even your own.

RHETT: I apologize again for all my shortcomings. Mr. Wilkes, Perhaps you won’t mind if I walk about and look over your place. I seem to be spoiling everybody’s brandy and cigars and...dreams of victory.

Ron, I agree, they have all the cool toys. But I always bet on the under dog. If you win, you win big. If you lose at least you tried. If you don’t register your toys and they come for them they are violating their own rules to delete checks within a few days. In my case I sold all of my toys at a gun show! What they are really after is to stop a private citizen from selling a gun to another private citizen without a background check. “Come and take them”!
