Bachmann, West, Marco Rubio, Tim Scott,
even Eric Cantor stand their ground while 
Paul Ryan deeply disappoints conservatives


Surely I'm not the only one who will be quitting the Republican Party -and I mean next week- if they keep spineless RINO nothing John Boehner (and even worse traitor Mitch McConnell) in a position of power, not now that they've kowtowed to the vile Obammunist regime yet again and ditched whatever speck of principle they ever had with an utterly appalling 41-1 tax increase/spending cuts ratio that can't spun any other way than complete and utter capitulation.

What's the point of sticking with a party where even Paul Ryan so readily discards his own fiscal credibility by caving to the sniveling worms of the GOP establishment? Such pliability shows you why Mittens liked him, and he's fallen about five notches in my book over the last 12 hours. Barring a more conservative House Speaker or dramatic ascension within the party by -say- a Rubio, Paul, or Bachmann- the Republicans simply have nothing to offer me anymore but continued grief and serial failure.

I don't care if they want to call me a nut, rebel, 'selfish', obstacle, racist, whatever- anybody with half-a-brain and any intellectual honesty can tell you spending cuts are the only thing that's ever going to save this country, and I'm plenty confident history WILL be on the TEA Party's side... hopefully before the greenback goes belly-up. Anyone who does not think this way is indeed a political enemy of mine and every other true fiscal conservative.


As larger battles over entitlements loom -and with absolutely no other precedent established by our current party 'leadership' but 'grab-ankle for the progs'- there's simply no reason to count on the McConnells and Boo-Hoo Boehners of the world to ever do the right thing... because they won't.

Besides the comprehensive lack of results, these two don't even have the slightest clue of how to fight disingenuous arguments from the White House and debate in favor of WHAT WORKS, even vs. complete and utter Obama bullshit like 'America works best when we all do our share' (even though 47% of Americans pay NO net tax to the federal government) OR that the issue of increased taxes on job-creators is one of 'fairness' 
(not the stupidity of scaring investment $ overseas) OR how Obama isn't willing to 'have any more debates with Congress regarding paying for laws they've already passed' when he and other Democrats are the ones who legislated most of that now-troublesome excess (that the TEA Party has been begging the feckless MAJORITY House Republicans to put a lid on).

GAWD do I hate being on a team packed with self-serving LOSERS- I promise you I won't miss a single one of them.

People posting here talk about the repub party as some separate entity.

It's not, it is us.

Just giving money and planting a few lawn signs won't change it.

Getting on your county and state republican committees and working your way into the system WILL.

It takes time and personal effort.

When I had the time I was on our county committe and will get on it again soon when I retire.

I know I'm going to ruffle a lot of very ignorant feathers with what's next, but here goes:

Many of the founding fathers of our country were Masons.

As a Mason, you learn the skills you need to work effectively in an organization such as a party committee.

One of the main goals of Masonry is to take a rough and unpolished man and square and polish him such that he may be more useful to his fellow man.

If you're not already a Mason, look into it.

Whining like a playground prissy and running home with your toys? You think that's going to get us anywhere? You're just doing the same thing you're complaining the "Republicans" are doing!

Eric Cantor, although he voted “No”, I suspect it has more to do with ‘Palace positioning’ and ‘smelling the air’ on seeing that Boehner’s head is about to roll, than standing up for ‘conviction’.

K Street gave him permission to vote "No". It was purely for image purposes. "Conviction", like "Honor", and "Principle" is a dirty word inside the Beltway.

They are already floating some trial balloons. Rubio and Jeb Bush and Chris Christie have already been mentioned.

Rubio is too young for the top of a GOP ticket. Christie's hugging Obama lost him most of the conservatives. That leaves, currently, Jeb Bush for the 'it is his turn' ticket. So what if 54% still blame brother George for the bad economy.

There is the problem. WE don’t have the time. We have jobs. We have family. We pay our bills. We pay to send our kids to school.

We are dead tired at the end of the day giving all we have to support our families and the nanny state.

While we’re busy pulling the wagon the other side has time to do everything you say we should be doing.

There is not a word of opposition to the House leadership. The fiscal cliff bill did not pass because of the Democrats - it passed because of Republican cowardice and duplicity. And I blame Bachmann as much as the others. She was in a position to take a strong leadership role with the Tea Party caucus during the aftermath of the November elections. She could have organized the caucus to speak with a single voice and to make it clear to Boehner, Ryan and Cantor that they would not tolerate business as usual. The first sign that this was not going to happen was when Boehner knee-capped the conservative committee members and cut them from their committees. The Tea Party caucus is a myth, as is Bachmann as “rebel”. When it came time to draw the line in the sand, Bachmann and most of the others stepped over to the RINO side.

It will be interesting to see if the GOP cares how many conservatives flee from it.

I’m looking at the last election and the general conservative consensus about Romney was decidedly negative. Yet he seemed to have no shortage of support from Republicans (not necessarily conservatives) in the primaries. Then consider how firmly entrenched Boehner/McConnell are.

So, it occurs to me that there are likely more “republicans” than “conservatives” — and my impression is that no matter how many “conservatives” flee the GOP, I’m not so sure they will miss us and may even be glad to see us go.

Now for the Debt Limit fight!

The GOP holds ALL the cards in the Debt Limit fight. If we agree that the country is doomed if we follow Obozo's current policies, how much more doomed can we be if he is stopped from borrowing one more cent.

The fact that he has already started saying that he won't negotiate over the Limit makes me think that (1) he'knows' he will win the fight, and (2) he will be using the Chicago Way to make it happen. Who is in the photo that he has got? The GOP needs to use the same tactics right back at him and start the campaign now, saying that they WILL NOT RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT under any circumstances, spending reductions or not.

Philosophically, there is very little difference now between Republicans and Democrats from the standpoint of economics; and voters won’t choose Dem-Lite when they can have the real thing.

Makes me chuckle. I will get flamed for this but I will say it anyway. First a third party that will show them! All the third parties combined got under 2 percent. Second we could have had a deal last year at about 8-1 spending vs revenue. It had revenue so it was not principled enough. We could have had one to one this time but we were divided so it would not pass. What did we end up with? Unity and working together makes us stronger. The Dems want civil war after all look at what they got because of it.

Republicans are stuck. The result is ... we appear to take a ‘pea shooter’ to a gun fight. Very ineffective. It is sad really. Let us join the tea party, it has a honest conservative direction. Sarah Palin has the moxie to face down the crooks among us, where ever they are! Unite not scatter ineffectually.

Heavenly Father ... nothing is impossible for thee, we read that David (a boy) chose 5 smooth stones, and he felled the giant Goliath. Give us some of David's intelligence and fearlessness. He yielded not to those mocking him and HE TRUSTED the LORD and his own ability honed by killing a bear and a lion while tending his sheep.
