On Monday, Alan Korwin, 2nd Amendment activist and author of Gun Laws of America, published a preliminary list of firearms and firearms accessories to be included in the yet-to-be announced, but much anticipated new version of the so-called Assault Weapons Ban.
The chief sponsor of the last ban, Sen. Diane Feinstein is said to be crafting new legislation now, which, if passed, President Obama would undoubtedly sign.

I've assembled all the old Heinlein books for my grandsons to read in their formative years, too.

Will they post the list in the dark alleys and streets of the inner city so that criminals can see the list and turn in their illegally obtained weapons?

You called it right, I have a Glock 20. I have no problem using 10-mm ammo, but since I am going to order online, I wanted some tips on what to buy. I haven’t fired it in fifteen years. Any danger there? I still have three 50-rnd boxes of practice rounds and one 20-rnd box of Federal hollow points, but with the way things are going, I figured it is time to purchase more.

given the current state of Russia’s military; how hard would it be for the Chinese to take control of the Kamchatka Peninsula? They could then use that control as a jumping-off point for Alaska and other points.
That’s why.

just like how the price of gas is manipulated; from $5 per gallon now down to $3.50 when it started under the obozo at $1.85. I feel better, don’t you? Same game on taxes. Frankly, I’m sick of the corrupt liberty stealing games that spew from those in DC that only costs the common citizen where those who make the restrictive laws exclude themselves. My guess, I’d say the 20 - 80 rule applies; at least 80% of the people in this country are also fed up with the corrupt tyrants in DC.

I’m a big fan of Heinlein...they are excellent books for males during their formative years.

Welcome to “Kaifornia Values”. Look up Ross-Roberti AWB in California. That list looks like a copy-n-paste of the California AWB but then Biden is heading the committee and he is familiar with using other folks work.:) If they overlooked the Garand you bet the house they will correct that oversight.

This list is 'Pre - Connecticut School Shooting' - November 28, 2012.
Expect the over-reach to be greater?

Yes, Andrew Kehoe. It will eventually happen again. People seem to believe they can make the world safe, which is total nonsense. They try to change outcomes without finding the root cause of things.

Reading some of the comments, are people here resigning themselves that we are going to have a gun ban? And accepting it???

I am surprised - given the depth of the list - that the anti-Constitutionalists are not wanting to ban cap and ball revolvers as well.
To answer your question - the overreach will grow now that they have a tragedy to exploit.

this is NOT a leak.
this is a trial ballon.
this also shows the biden committee is a joke.
warm up the telephones time to flex electoral muscle.
2014 is around the corner. We need real conservative candidates who can ARTICULATE. Not the usual opportunist kooks who have no chance.

I am only resigned to the fact that Obama is going to try to get such a ban, and, if conservatives in Congress will stand firm, fail miserably.
I do worry about Obama attempting extra-Constitutional measures to enact such a ban.

You're a better person than I. I'm tired of taking the high road and watching America get "remade" into something resembling China or the Soviet Union. I understand those of totalitarian bent will always be around (not exclusive to the Left, but more often than not), but just listening to the rhetoric of some of these people is disturbing--because given the right chance without the prospect of consequence, they would act on their threats(look at the union goons in Detroit when right to work passed). Perhaps the prospect of having those powers turned against them would convince Leftists for a time that an omnipotent government is not a good idea.
Or at the very least, bring back dueling.
To: Hoodat
No, they are both shoot the same diameter bullet. The 10mm just has a longer case in order to hold more powder. Whether you can safely shoot the shorter cartridge in your gun is something you’d best ask a gunsmith.
FWIW, the FBI gave up on the 10mm during testing because it was too stout and tended to go thru perps(and most everything else) instead of lodging inside the body where it does more damage. The designers then cut the case down and didnt have anything better to call it than .40S&W.
Best bet for ammo would be to learn to reload(provided the components dont go thru the roof!!) and start rollin yer own ammunition.

With all due respect FRiend you may have waited to long. Ammo and firearms supplies are drying up and prices are rising. Good luck though
