Two weeks ago I had finally done the impossible. I deactivated. Cut the ties. I was even able to pass the guilt message. Are you sure you want to deactivate? Your friends will no longer be able to blah, blah, blah. There it was, Facebook Freedom. I had my life back. Over the next few days I would start my daily routine. Checking email. Bank accounts. Investments. Drudge. RSS feeds. But then...nothing. All of a sudden I had all this extra time on my hands.
It got me thinking about what I had accomplished in all that time I had in the past. If you are like me, during these last 5-10 years, the political, moral, and human rights issues of the day had encompassed my soul. We had wars, poverty, corruption, division, scandals, and the finger-pointing just never stopped. So I, like many of you, had to voice my opinion on the matters at hand. People had to see things my way. The truth had to prevail. After all, righteousness and the future of this country were at stake. Nothing else mattered.

Thanks for the suggestion - I think I’ll go check it out!
Why don't you post the stuff that doesn't matter HERE?
Your words ring true for me and you said it very well. Thank you for posting this. I’m sure many others will find wisdom in your thoughts as well. Others will no doubt use their precious time on this earth to point fingers and play that childish, over-played “blog pimp” game. There are folks out here in cyberspace that do enjoy reading the thoughts and opinions of others that didn’t come from an Internet news feed or well-worn news/opinion website, and I am one of them.
What’s FaceBook?
I read and collect timeless books, and have many friends whose faces I recall with fondness. I’m not sure there’s any improvement that the new technology has to offer.
I can’t leave Facebook, I have a Farm to run
Why?
I have an account that I use to get messages from Palin, Herman Cain, etc. Of course it’s under a pseudonym with a throwaway email account.
