I would like to enlist the services of the Prayer Warriors for the grandson of a little girl who lived in my neighborhood when I was growing up. She's obviously not so little now, but is in need of your prayers.
Keegan James Dondlinger was born yesterday, November 23, 2012, but was due March 4, 2013, three days after my own grandson is due. He weighed 1.85 lbs, but he looks very well developed for being so young and so little.
He's been able to open his eyes, and to grasp his mother's finger.
Y’all forget, I’m just your humble messenger.
Congratulate Ladyiris58, not me. She is Iris’ granddaughter as our boy Keegan is her grandson.
So I’ll start it off, although I already have in another venue.
Congratulations, Ladyiris58 on your latest grandchild.
(First granddaughter, I think. So you have 3 grandsons, and one granddaughter, while I have 3 granddaughters and one grandson.)
Miss G is "pretty in pink"
Remember while Keegan is 19 months old on the calender, gestationally he's the equivalent of about 16 months, just like Oscar. Speaking of my grandson the O man, he was sick last night, 101 temp, not so very high for a little one. But here is a recent picture as well.

Adorable kids you have there! Keegan and Oscar are really growing up!
And what a cutie that little girl is!
Awwww. Melts me heart these pictures do. Keegan and lil sis looking so sweet together. And Oscar! Well what can I say? He’s looking good indeed. Hoping that temp and whatever ails him is all in the past today.
Thanks for brightening my day El.
Oh and it’s about time you gave us an update too! ;)
Just got this message from Keegan's very anxious Grammie Iris:
Hey El Gato can you get our grandson Keegan on your prayer warrior list again? He has an appointment on Aug 26 at Children's Hospital in Omaha. There is a red flag on his latest CT scan. He might be facing surgery. Basically his soft spot closed to fast or incorrectly and he has a ridge on the top of his head. The surgery would be major and have a 7-10 day hospital stay. Needless to say this Grammie is trying hard not to worry but....
Y'all know what to do.

Prayers Up!
Keegan has lived, almost 2 years now. He’s pretty much thrived too and has a wonderful grin.
But he has a problem with his skull, and may need to have surgery. They might have to crack it open and let it heal with more space inside.
I think the green beans won that round. :)
I LOVE that picture!
Thank you for keeping us informed, and for this wonderful answer to our prayers!
Keegan update from his Dr appt. He needs surgery. Gonna take a few weeks to a month to schedule it. They gonna call us at that point. Should only be 3-4 days here. Then recuperate at home.
About the same time as Iris messaged me, this was posted by Keegan's Mom:
So assuming Medicaid approves, we will be getting a phone call to schedule surgery for Keegan in a month or so. his skull has fused too quickly in a spot and they need to fix it to let his brain grow
But Keegan is still Keegan. Here he is "helping" unload the dishwasher..
And chilling with his sister Genevieve:
Here he is playing with his new friend, Millicent. After a period of adjustment, they seem to be getting along pretty well.
Both are learning not to bite, even in play.
