While these photos of Powell and Farrakhan were taken at an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jamaica's independence, I cannot help but wonder what the left would do if these photos where of Rush Limbaugh and David Duke while they attended Missouri's celebration of statehood. I know what the MSM and those on the left who hate conservatives would say. They would have the picture on most newspapers and if there was video you know that MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, and the alphabet networks would all begin their nightly news with it. The storyline would be how they always knew Limbaugh was a racist, now they have proof.
Well, I look at the way Colin Powell is chumming it up with Farrakhan and come away with the belief that Powell has no problem sharing space with a black bigot who preaches that Jews and whites are Satan's children. Oh I know that both Powell and Farrakhan had parents who were Jamaican, but I also know that regardless of the situation, you do all you can to distance yourself from those who hate people for the color of their skin. So after Powell was introduced to Farrakhan, he should have found a place to sit far away from him, but that is not what he did. Powell had no problem being seen and photographed with Farrakhan as if they were very old friends. Makes one wonder if Powell was sympathetic to Calypso Louie's anti-Semitic teachings when he was George Bush's Secretary of State.
Go ahead and check out the photos, and while you are, pretend you are looking at any conservative you want, while replacing Farrakhan with any outspoken well known White Supremacist. You tell me what crosses your mind. If I were Powell, I would value my reputation too much to ever sit near or next to a known anti-Semite black racist. Besides, if I were so important that the government of Jamaica really wanted me to attend their Independence Day celebration, they would know ahead of time about my opinion of Farrakhan, and thus they would not sit me anywhere near him. Yet there is Colin Powell, sitting so close to Farrakhan they can chat like old friends.

I have known that Powell was not a Conservative or even a Republican fro some time but
for him to keep company with the likes of Calypso Louie is shocking. This picture is
the equivalent of Paul Ryan going to a baseball game with David Duke.
I guess this explains Powell's endorsement of Obama in 2008 and again this year. Which also brings to light the accusation by Colin Powell's former chief of staff, retired Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, who publicly blasted the Republican Party and one of Mitt Romney's top aide as racists over a controversial comment regarding Powell's endorsement of President Obama. The Huffington Post reported that when, Ed Schultz, asked what, if anything, Sununu's statement said about the attitudes of the GOP, Wilkerson responded by saying; (video below quote)
"My party, unfortunately, is the bastion of those people -- not all of them, but most of them -- who are still basing their positions on race.'Let me just be candid:"
"My Party is full of racists, and the real reason a considerable portion of my party wants President Obama out of the White house has nothing to do with the content of his character, nothing to do with his competence as commander-in-chief and president, and everything do with the color of his skin, and that's despicable."
How dare Mr Wilkerson claim the Republican party is full of people who vote for the color of ones skin. Last time I checked, Obama carried the majority of the white vote in 2008, while the African community voted overwhelmingly for Obama. If anyone votes for the color of one's skin it is the African community who will again vote for Obama by over 90%.
As for being despicable, I'll tell you what's despicable. A man who accuses others of being racist when the person he is defending hangs out with a person who is probably the best known Anti-Semite racist in America. Maybe Colonel Wilkerson should pay closer attention to Colin Powell's activities before he goes on MSNBC to make a complete fool out of himself. But then again, MSNBC is the place to go to if you want to be made a fool of.
Then when there was talk about him being the best candidate in 2000 to run I was wondering what qualified him to make all these Republicans like him. Since I learned the difference between beltway Republicans and fly-over-country Republicans.
Then all my suspicions about him were confirmed in 2008 when he endorsed Obama. When he endorsed him again for 2012, i didn't even bat an eyelash because i knew who he was. So when saw these I had to write something up about him.
I guess the whole world makes sense once again, and I can continue trusting my gut instinct that I know comes from God. He always ties my stomach in knots about certain individuals, and I don't have a reason until some time later, but in time God always pulls the mask off those he tells me to stay clear from, and Colin Powell has always been one of those individuals.

The Klu Klux Klan was & is the Terrorist wing of the Democrat Party. The Republican Party freed the slaves from the Democrats. OBTW: Martin Luther King was a Republican & murdered by the Democrats. Wilkerson seems to be amazingly ignorant.
I had the same feeling about Powell when Bush 41 appointed him head of the Joint Chiefs in 1989. I was in Texas at the time visiting my aunt and I turned to her and my mother saying, “well, he’s an ‘affirmative action appointee.’” They both agreed. I was 23 then, half a lifetime ago for me. B-) Still like you, I get gut feelings about some people who I would not really trust.

When I get those feelings, I follow them, and I know that in time I will be shown the truth.
I felt the same way about Rick Warren and his book, “A Purpose Driven Life”. Many of my Christian brothers and sisters said I was being way too critical. But I had a big problem with his book when I heard Christians having Bible studies, but instead of the Bible, they were using Rick Warren’s book.
A big part of it had to do with his seeker friendly church models. For 2000 years Christians reached those lost in the dark the same way, why should we change just because men are more evil?
Well, eventually many others came to the same conclusion I had back in 2002 and 2003. Then 6 years later I was completely justified with my feelings when he did all he could to get the Christian community to accept him as a true Christian when he was anything but a Christian. Now most true Christians who have the light agree with me, 10 years late, but I trusted His Holy Spirit, and it did not lead me astray.
I give credit to God, and I always will. I am sure you do the same. We can just continue following His Spirit that guides us and we will not be led astray.
He knows His and His knows those who are also His and we know those who are not His.

Just as I told Donnafrflorida, we who belong to Him, are given a special sense to alert us to evil.
We need it, because as Paul said, Satan will disguise himself as an angel of light. He also tells us that in the end times God will send a strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
We have the light, so we will be able to distinguish between good and evil, even when others whom we have respect for cannot.
So - it isn’t just about the skin color... Colon Bowel is a Farrakhan fool too...
