Unlike 4 years ago when I was the one bringing you the sorry news that we needed a miracle to avoid the election of the biggest empty suit that has ever sat in the oval office (see the 2008 article here), I come bearing gifts and good news!!!
I have been saying for over a year now that Romney will beat the Messiah by 5 points (52-47) and carry a comfortable electoral majority in the range of 279-308. In fact, this is the way I see the electoral college breaking down on election night:

Lets make it happen Mike. Always concerned because the moron, stupid voters are still out there and although their enthusiasm is low they can still zombie themselves to the polls. We need massive turnout just for insurance.
I’ve been saying 55% / 45% since mid-Summer when the numbers were reversed.

People have one choice: Do I want 4 more years of this?
The answer will be a resounding “NO!”
Romney picks up PA and WI and IA.
Might pick up MI and NV.
People are fed up at the gas pump and the grocery store - they are angry and they’ll vote BO out.
In order for Obama to win, the voters need to conclude that the bad economy, unemployment, the deficits, the national debt... don’t matter, or are not his fault. Additionally, folks would need to think that Obama is the answer to those problems.
In essence, Obama has to do what no other sitting president has ever done.... Win despite having a frightening track record.
Logic would suggest Obama loses, and loses in record fashion. But, the polls.... don’t indicate a massive loss. So, here we sit and worry that our national has fundamentally changed soooooo badly, that Obama might be re elected.
I guess it will all be “obvious” afterwards.
If Obama loses, the media will cite the above as the reason for his loss, NOT.... his idiotic ideas and handling of various issues. They’ve already written their election eve stories I bet....
