Despite polling data indicating that over 60% of those surveyed see GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's concern about Americans becoming too dependent on government as valid, most still say they will vote to reelect Obama.
As a general proposition, it might be a bad thing for people to become too dependent on the government, said one poll respondent. But this whole freedom thing is kind of abstract compared to actually getting stuff for free. I mean, take the 10 million free phones the government has given out. A phone is something I can hold in my hand. I can use it to call my friends, play video games, download tunesyou know, have fun.
Freedom might have been important to people when they were fighting taxation without representation in 1776, but what's that to me here and now? asked another poll respondent. I don't have to pay taxes, but I still get to vote. My vote counts just as much as the sap who has to work. Shouldn't I use it to keep the free stuff coming?
In related news, Stephanie Cutter, deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obama's 2012 reelection effort bragged that Democrats have locked up the women's vote. We're giving them free birth control and free cell phonestwo items of critical importance to the modern woman. The Republicans offer whatlower taxes, fewer regulations? Even if we were to concede that these are desirablewhich we don'tthey'd provide equal benefits for men. Why should any woman vote for that?

I thought you did satire?
Those who drool at the prospect of mo’ free stuff, courtesy of Obama, excuse me, the taxpayer, will not change their tune when the tap is turned off. They will still consider your property free.
They will just try to take it rather than wait for you to give (forcibly redistribute it) it to them.
I guarantee that “prepper” will soon become racist because the libs will spin it that it is people who are hoarding food to deprive the “downtrodden” of their due redistribution.
Entitlement programs have created GENERATIONS of people who have radically divergent work ethics, values, and mores, and furthermore, who have no intent or stimulus to adopt one that is more conducive to independence.

There is no way the "gimmes" understand the concept of taxation without representation. those words are too big for them!
Plus, they have no idea what 1776 refers to in history.
Other than that, it's perfect! LOL
For a bowl of pottage . . . .
In Florida it is against the law to feed dolphins -even if they beg for food...they become dependent on begging, and do not hunt for their food....why is this not true of welfare for people?...The Government is the biggest drug pusher in our country and that drug is free stuff....many are dependent on it.....We must change our country. If people need help we must help them...that should be a step up to being independent again...
Uuuuhhh, don’t forget: gotta’ have gas for that new car...dontcha’ know?
She should. The SEIU was paying her 11 bucks an hour!

I feel pity for our race as a whole.
Hahaha! You're gonna be in so much trouble for that one!
Yep. “Free” phones, “free” gas, “free” mortgages, “free” health care, etc. Isn’t “free” dom(or is that “free”dumb?) grand? ;)
Another good one right on the money again John. Thanks for the ping.
