On Wednesday, an enthusiastic Obama supporter protesting Mitt Romney near Cleveland, Ohio, explained why she is voting for the president.
“Everybody in Cleveland, low minorities, got Obama phone. Keep Obama in president, you know. He gave us a phone, he gonna do more (sic),” the unidentified Obama supporter said in a video posted to YouTube.
When asked how the President gave her a phone, she explained that all she had to do was sign up for it.
"You sign up! If you on food stamps, you on social security, you got low income, you disability...,” she explained. The video cut away at that point.

When asked what is wrong with Romney, the Obama supporter was clear and succinct.
"Romney, he s**ks! Bad,” she said....

When I was a supervisor at the unemployment office, I signed for millions of dollars in Wal-Mart and Target gift cards, gas credit cards, bus passes, loaded-up laptops with free Internet service, free child care, etc., etc. You have no idea. Phones are the least of it.
The problem is once people become dependent on the government it is difficult and sometimes impossible to break the dependency. And if there are no jobs to look for, why do they need a cell phone?
I'd want to be UNIDENTIFIED too if I supported ZERO!!

1)pass a football 25+ yards
2) Run 100 yards in 6 seconds

Seriously, though, when I saw the video, I was aghast. I thought the Romney campaign had hired her as a plant to make Obama voters look bad, including the awful Rochester voice, Step ‘n Fetchit moves and totally ghetto diction. Then I realized this person wasn’t kidding. OMG!!!! It’s actually worse than I thought.
I have thought of doing all the above.

I thought this one was more vile than the screaming woman, although they were both ignorant.
I hope the Romney campaign or someone (Breitbart?) has dozens of these type of videos and leak one every other day. These videos are more damaging to Obama than anything Romney can say or do. My blood boils just hearing and seeing this.
I saw an ad on the wall of our local Post Office on how to get a free phone.
You make an excellent and chilling point. Discussing this in terms of communism and its evils is simply beyond the intellect and the experience of these people. Countless millions of people have been living on the gov’t dole for 2,3 or 4 generations. They can’t even envision a life without that check. They have no notion of a better life nor a desire to make one for themselves. Why should they? All incentive has been removed.
They have not experienced the tyranny of communism and other totalitarian forms, so it is impossible to ask them to consider that what they are asking for is a recipe for a complete collapse of the system they depend upon.
Speaking about communism to this group is also a waste of time. They barely know what it is or what it means and they certainly have never been educated about its evil results in every single case. The expression “those who don’t learn the lessons of history...etc.” simply does not apply; they have no lessons of history to learn from.
In this light, Romney’s 47 percenter comment is very well taken, indeed.

Yes it is. The entire welfare state is to blame. Without govt intervention, single welfare mothers would marry or demand child support. Extended family would live under the same roof. People could start businesses without licenses. Or apprentice. Etc.

Watching that video is like swallowing 10 pounds of saltpeter. It would make the horniest guys instantly impotent.
