I don't live in a battle ground state but I've noticed a lack of yard signs this year for politicians. Four years ago it seemed that everyone had a yard sign and Obama was everywhere, even here in southern Kentucky. I've seen a few bumper stickers on vehicles over by the university but really haven't seen a lot of them either.
I'm curious if anyone else could tell me if I'm just early or just in the wrong place to see the usual mania that the elections provide.
I keep seeing the polls and wonder if there's so much support then why am I not seeing tangible support for either candidate.
There’s a definite lack of yard signs and bumper stickers in the Puget Sound for national elections.
Still waiting for my Romney sign... they’re supposed to ship next week.
Just got an email from Romney campaign in FL that they will have yard signs on Oct. 1st. Can pick them up at campaign offices.
I am also located in NoVA, but have noticed just the opposite. This morning I observed an approximately 5 to 1 Obama advantage in yard signs while driving through my neighborhood.
no obama signs in ballard or lake city?? hard to believe.
am seeing far more mckenna stickers than inslee ones. theres reason to hope, but the margin has to be wide enough
that the king county democrat machine can’t steal the election as happened with governess fraudoire!
Here in Yankee-infested Central NC, very few Obama yard signs, a few auto stickers of his, a few Romney yard signs...most supporters advertise in support of Pat McCrory, the Rep. who’ll be replacing our execrable Gov. Bev Perdue.
Rub your signs with Poison Ivy! I do. Neighbor’s teenager was covered in Calamine lotion a couple days later!
“Hey Joe! That’s a nasty case of Poison Ivy! Where did you get into it?”
“I dunno.”
BWAAAAAAA!
Its lost.
Thank you for that response, perhaps it’s just too early.
I wouldn't dare put any sign on my car this cycle. I used to, but that was when there was still some semblance of civility.
Only seen one for Zero sticker. Okla.
But this is more disturbing: I have now visited Romney's regional campaign headquarters and the Republican state headquarters a total of five times over the past month.
They have no yard signs and no bumper stickers. None. Zero. I have been told that the entire state is "dry" and that repeated requests from the campaign offices have gone unfulfilled. Today I saw the first Romney campaign ad that I have seen in weeks (although Obama ads are on every day).
Make of that what you will, but if they're going to start a ground campaign here, they'd better do it soon.
I’ve see no signs in for either man in Nassau County New York. I’ve seen a lot of Romney signs on the northeast end of Suffolk county.
I’m seeing a majority of Romney signs here in Hampton Roads in Virginia. Bumper stickers are about even. Overall, a fraction of both, compared to 2008.
NOT this year! I have one sign, for a local candidate for state rep, Leon Rideout. He's the ONLY one on the repub. ballot I trust.
While I will tightly hold my nose and vote for Romney, Ryan, Ovide LaMontagne (governor), I trust NONE of them and support none of them.
I think a lot of folks are in the same boat.
I got a call from the repub national committee yesterday begging for money. Gave her an earful. Am sick to death of the RINOs they shove down our throats.
The Repub (so called) party will get no more dough out of me or support as long as they push RINOs.
I think on the democRAT side the lack of signs and stickers is that we are no longer silent and give them an earful over their stupidity.
“I wouldn’t dare put any sign on my car this cycle. I used to, but that was when there was still some semblance of civility.”
I got a magnetic R&R bumper sticker from a friend of mine. I put it on the bumper when I am going on the highway and take it off when I am in the neighborhood. I don’t want to get my new car keyed.
No need. WA is locked up for Obama. Why waste money on signs and bumper stickers?
In my neck of the woods (NC), Romney signs are far more numerous than Obama signs.
Probably a good indicator if you believe that conservatives are less likely to shout their intentions to the world.
Looks like the magic is gone for Obama.
I live in a heavily conservative area and I don’t bumper sticker or yard sign. I’ve come to realize the leftist are militant and vile. We are at that point folks.
Well, I’ll be fair here. I saw one podunk yard sign when I took a wrong turn in Lake City. That’s the only one I’ve seen in King County.
Where are you? Inslee is everywhere where I live around Greenlake, alas, but no Obama. Go further north to Snohomish and there’s some McKenna signs though.
LOL! That’s great!
