“Hobbes and Bacon” is a “Calvin and Hobbes” tribute that takes place 26 years later. I had nothing to with creating these cartoons – I am merely posting them here so that you can see them. There are four – and only four – but that’s enough to get the message across. You can see larger versions of the images by clicking twice on each image:

Indeed. Greatest cartoon ever and my all time favorite.Don't be exclusive:
Pogo Possum,
Tumbleweeds,
Li'l Abner,
Opus/Bloom County,
Sherman's Lagoon,
Howard the Duck,
(current) Day by Day...
Cartoons can come closer to reality than most of the news.
PS: I omitted Malard Filmore because it is overtly political,
And I omitted Junkwaffle and Cheech Wizard because they fall totally outside polite society, talented and funny, but weird.

This is a nice tribute. Thanks for posting it. Brings back some happy memories.
Calvin and Hobbes was my all-time favorite cartoon strip. Tied for first with the Far Side, which was a single-panel cartoon. Both unbelievably consistent with their quality over a long period of time.

Sooo. Did he marry Susie? I'm pretty certain that that is Susie. But please remember that Calvin's parents' names were never mentioned in the original.

I can’t find the pic - but I used to have “The beatings will continue until morale improves” showing “Evil Calvin” posted in my office ...

My eyes got misty reading your post. The passing of years is bittersweet, but you raised a good boy. Mine is 10 and I am trying to savor each moment with him. God bless

Zita the Space Girl IS awesome and without bathroom type humor which I hate in modern children’s comics/movies etc. Plus the author/illustrator has 4 little girls himself and named the main character after one of them...good guy.

Of course it was Susie. Don’t be blasphemous. Calvin would never marry anybody else.
