The gay marriage controversy may now be standing in the way of a new Chik-fil-A opening in California.
This week, five members of Santa Barbara's architectural board abstained from approving a landscaping plan for a restaurant. The move essentially halts the project from moving forward.
City Councilman Frank Hotchkiss condemned the board and requested its members resign.
"For a group thats supposed to working on architectural benefits for the city to just stop what they're doing because of their political views is outrageous," he said.
Board member Gary Mosel disagreed with Hotchkiss.
"I feel he's jumping the gun, and not knowing the situation and asking for our resignation is not a fair assessment," he said.
Mosel admitted he abstained from the vote because he's a member of two gay and lesbian groups. But he said each board member has their own reasons for not voting.
Councilman Hotchkiss is right on the money. Slap these wackos down fast and furiously. No mercy and no excuses accepted. Can't stay focused on your job, resign and find a kissing gig somewhere.

With all the S’s in those three sentences, I bet he was lisping and spitting all over the place
Sounds like the perfect reason for a law suit against the city council for religious persecution.
“The owner of the company is Christian, and his affirmation of those Christian beliefs resulted in the governmental attack on our business.”
It should be filed in federal court.

And they should sue for financial damages, incurred in the delays, as well as the delay in opening for business.

Nothing more dangerous than a Gaystapo armed with heavy U.S. military weapons. I can see them now, saying to 0bama, “We’ve got your back, thir.”

Actually, it was two lesbo board members that struck down my plans. Funny thing was, when I asked for an explanation of what ‘too French’ means, they simply informed me that it was not their position to design the landscape and that was all they had to say on the matter.
Architectural review boards can/ are a pain in the butt. Most are controlled by libs with too much time on their hands.
In my opinion, Chic-Fil-A should cut its losses immediately and run - - don’t walk - - away from that place without so much as a word. Just flat-out disappear from that sick toilet and make it like you were never there. Dead serious (unsolicited) advice.
I once had a hearing before a municipal “Technical Review Board” where I was appealing for a waiver for something that would have cost me a ton if I had to include it in my building plans. One Wednesday evening I met the board at a room in the local township hall and saw that one of the four members was a guy whose grandson I coached at baseball for many years. He came to most of the games and so we knew each other.
My waiver got approved.
It's not what you know, it WHO you know that really matters.
Although I've had that happen to me in many of my developments and I would always feel glad when I was approved, and most bitter when not; I still don't like it.
Years ago while in college, I conducted surveys of local governing boards as a school project. Anyhow, days when I shaved and dressed in a suit, I was given coffee....days later, at the same place (wearing tee shirt, blue jeans, and unshaven) security was called.
Have you read about the Dallas Cop and his Chick-Fil-A nightmare?
That is one spooky pic. Dang!
Ok, so you are calling 'Uncle' to the libs and to the Constitution?
This type of thinking is exactly what 0pansy, Pelosi, Reid and let's not for get about ChuckyShummer and the rest of the OURcorruptGANG wants you to do. Just Give-UP. Or, better yet, OBEY.
Don’t be naive. You would fight to locate a franchise where you’re not wanted? That toilet is the only available opening for a new Chic-Fil-A? Remind me not to let you run any businesses for me.
Need to establish a REAL-ACLU that tows completely to the constitutional line. Put the commies out of business.
