We all know President Obama is rewriting our immigration law on his own. He has issued new orders that grant certain illegal immigrants a waiver to deportation. Details of this new policy was released on Friday and for the paltry sum of $465, illegal immigrants that were brought to the United States as children can apply for a waiver and a work permit. In other words, trading illegal status for legal status. Sounds like a good deal, at least for them.
In regards to these new immigration rules, ie. selective enforcement of current immigration law, we are learning about a new, very troubling trend in the leadership of the law enforcement agencies charged with enforcing immigration law. To all Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, beware of who you are arresting. If your superiors consider your suspect to be unworthy of arrest, you could be punished. The good Senator from Alabama has some questions that I would like answers to myself.
(Fox News) Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., is demanding answers after a report surfaced that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent is facing punishment for arresting an illegal immigrant. The most troubling aspect of this, besides the ICE agent facing punishment for doing his job, is the statement by the Newark Police Department that an American citizen, stopped under the same circumstances, would have been arrested. Since when is it standard operating procedure to give illegal immigrants preferential treatment over America citizens. The unidentified agent could face a three-day suspension after he arrested a 35-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico who had as many as 10 traffic violations. He was nabbed in Newark, Del.
The agent was ordered by supervisors to release the individual because he was not a priority target. When the officer balked, he was threatened with a three-day suspension and the illegal alien was let go.
The actions that it appears were taken by your agency send a message to agents in the field that they will be punished for doing their duty and enforcing the law, Sessions wrote in an letter to ICE Director John Morton and obtained exclusively by Fox News.
At the risk of sounding crass and uncaring, when will it be time for our leaders to stand up for what is right for those of us who are in this country legally? What about the millions of immigrants who have come to America legally? They have followed the laws, paid their dues, and gained citizenship or legal status? I don't care if the prime recipients of the new immigration policy from the Obama administration were brought here by their parents. They are still in this country illegally. I have no desire to see them treated inhumanely, but that doesn't change their immigration status.
What about the people who have been hurt by type of illegal immigrant the ICE agent tried to arrest? Doing a quick Google search shows many examples of American citizens being killed or hurt by illegal immigrants who were driving illegally, and/or drunk. Why is it considered a bad thing to want them off our streets and out of our country? I, for one, consider it to be a slap in the face, both to the legal immigrants in this country, and to American citizens.
I hope Senator Sessions sticks to his guns on this issue. Maybe Representative Steve King (R., Iowa) can join his cause and help highlight the travesty of punishing this ICE agent for doing his job and protecting American citizens and legal residents in this country. If President Obama insists on changing our immigration policy, the least he could do is go through Congress. Instead, he is making wholesale changes because he believes they are necessary and proper. What about following the law of the land he claims to be an expert on? So much for the United States Constitution.
Why are we allowing this man to break the law of this land? Can we hear from the balless, feckless, cowards. Why is he allowed to bring this country down and we hear nothing but crickets
Yesterday I was in a huge line going through Immigration in a major East Coast airport. I loudly pointed out that the whole thing was a farce because this administration refuses to arrest illegal aliens - people who decided they didn't have to put up with our laws - so why should we bother?
EVERYONE around me LOUDLY agreed.
Romney is a clown. Obama is a thug. Guess who wins that streetfight?
I know I’m preaching to the choir ... but don’t hold your breath on that one.
“...Romney is a clown. Obama is a thug. Guess who wins that streetfight?...”
::::::::::::::
Romney had better start STREETFIGHTING and soon. And so had the GOP that is “supposed” to be supporting him....or has Obama bought them off too, with OUR MONEY?? Where is the opposition party to this outright premeditated crime ??
This issue needs to be faced, before we drown in a sea of contrived "diversity," intended to make a defense of our heritage practically impossible. (Of course, Obama seeks to build up the anti-American vote, in any way that he can.)
For a discussion of immigration issues, Immigration & The American Future. Or check out the response to President Bush on this issue: Answer To President Bush On Immigration. Obama has certainly not come up with any new arguments.

Yeah, but four more years of Obamagration will make certain a conservative will win the Republican Primary, or force Americans to rally around another conservative entity, just like not voting for McCain did, so just imagine what Obamagration would do, if only we all pitched in to help. Welcome an illegal into your home. In fact, give him the keys to your house and car. It’s for the good of America.

Why were you going through Immigration ???
are you not an American citizen ???
The last time I returned from another country, 2008 we still were separated into the line for American citizens and the line for non-citizens/Immigration, visitors, etc
I just breezed on through...it was quick as usual..
Just a “Welcome home!” American passport checked, papers rubber stamped and on my way...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
that was Dec 2008
never mind...
We dont “live” here anymore..
Um, coming home from an international business trip? You've never been out of the country?
are you not an American citizen ???
13th generation. Your state was founded by my ancestors. Look up Bonny Kate Sherril, John Sevier, the Wautauga Association and the entire history of the settlers of the Yadkin River valley and their westward movement.

They still do that. And this was in the Capitol - Washington, DC (District of Criminals). There's just an enormous number of people, and even with 8 - 10 CBP guys it still takes 15 - 20 minutes to get through when you have 5 or 6 overseas flights arriving about the same time. Think 1200 people or so.
We dont live here anymore..
Now you're getting it.
The announcements on the PA were from people who all had accents: Spanish, Indian, etc. The CBP officers, the TSA people...overwhelmingly non-white, many foreign born.
This is their world. Police states, cheap hustles, thug intimidation, endless lines of rubber stamping bureaucrats looking to rough up the little people with the power of the badge. In their countries, you go into government to get rich by shaking down the mullets. Think Mexico, Congo, India, Zimbabwe (there are obvious Africans in uniform, immigrants simply hired because they are Black, not because they were ever "discriminated against" as descendants of slaves).
It's a giant con job. The loser gringos - that's us - get shaken down wherever they can do it to us. They'd do it just to hassle us. The Third World criminals - they walk right by, smirking and sneering. No laws for them. That's for Whitey, and it's just a way to make sure some cash and property transfers to them.
95% of voters are not paying much attention to election right now. They have short attention spans and short memories and no interest in politics.
Only things which will matter are the convention speeches, and TV ad’s 10 days before November 6th.
You are probably right, but that’s sad, also.
It’s hard to imagine that in America the vote for POTUS hinges on the best advertisements or even the debates or speeches.
I still feel that there is around 40% on both sides - solid blocks of votes with 20% up for grabs that are influenced by advertisements, etc. Of course, it’s win or lose with that 20%.
I wish I had the answer to your question. I will say this. There are many, many people in this country who disagree wholeheartedly with what I have written about the ICE agent. They see nothing wrong with allowing the illegal immigrant to walk free and nothing wrong with the changes Obama is making to our immigration law. We have an uphill battle to convince them otherwise.
Four more years of Obama and we may not be able to recognize America for what it should be. I fear a second Obama term much more than his first.
