President Obama said Thursday that the New York Jets quarterback situation would make him "pretty nervous" if he were a fan of the team.
The Jets acquired Denver phenom Tim Tebow in the off-season, but are playing him as a backup to Mark Sanchez.
"I've got to tell you, I don't like the idea of a quarterback controversy at the start of the season," Obama said on Columbus' 97.1 The Fan in a Thursday call-in appearance on The Common Man & The Torg's radio program.

"If I was a Jets fan, I'd be pretty nervous," Obama said. Sanchez "led them to the playoffs two years in the row," he said.
"Tebow seems to be a wonderful young man and he's got just a great winning attitude. He steps up when things count," Obama said. "But there's going to be a lot of tension in that situation."
Woody Johnson, the Jets owner, also happens to be a major Mitt Romney backer.
Obama also weighed in on the Penn State controversy, saying that the unprecedented sanctions levied against the Lions was an appropriate punishment for the child molestation scandal that has rocked the campus.
"I have been a big admirer of Penn State football," Obama said.
But "there are some things that are just more important than sports," he said. "Making sure our kids are safe is more important than sports."

Does this guy have a job?

While Obama was in Germany(???) during his 2008 campaign he showboated with his media boyfriends on the basketball court shooting “set-ups” -
“Set-Ups” you say?
What is a “Set-Up”?
Obama was shown on TV sinking a long shot -
Unknown to TV viewers in America and around the world -
It was Obama’s seventh (7th) shot!
The first six (6) shots that he missed were then called “practice shots”
Obama said: “I was on the Hawaiian State Championship High School Boy’s Basketball Team!”
What he did not say was that he was a lousy player and just a benchsitter and known by the others on that HS team as a whining crybaby that would stomp off the court in practice.
Sarah Palin however made the winning foul shot for Wasilla HS to win the Alaskan State Championship High School Girl’s Basketball Team.

I did not know that, thanx!
And I bet if you tossed a basketball up into the air she could put a hole in it!
Vaporous Ignoramus.
"I am also concerned about the huge settlements the victims of this situation who will reap huge, huge profits they didn't earn."
He continued, "They didn't get there by themselves. We, the government (and University) fostered the environment, provided the crime scene and assisted in covering this up for years."
"My first action when re-elected will be to introduce legislation to enact a 99% tax on all monetary awards for crimes like this for which the government provided so much infrastructure." "Because, after all, we ARE the 99%, aren't we?"
If I was a Jets fan, I’d be pretty nervous,” Obama said. Sanchez “led them to the playoffs two years in the row,” he said.

REALLY you have been President for 4 years and you have led us to the toilet 4 years in a row...and 47% are pretty nervous you prick.
Palin should challenge Obama to a free-throw shooting competition. Would be an instant classic.
PA Ping!
If you want on/off the PA Ping List, please freepmail me. Thanks!
Palin has run a marathon in under 4 minutes. That puts her in the elite group of distance runners. But she beats obama by any and every standard: athleticism, intelligence, humility, competence and humanity.
Sarah Palin also played in that game still recovering from a severe ankle sprain.
I’ve got to tell you, I don’t like the idea of a quarterback controversy at the start of the season,” Obama said.
However he’s ok with 40% of the NFL being felons.
Scarey, Very Scarey.... I can just see him saying such stuff.
I thought only Chuck Norris could run a marathon in “4 minutes”? You meant 4 hours, right?
Not.
It’s called competition, something Marxists are all nervous about.
Pray for America
That's in contrast to rival Penn State, where he fully endorsed the top heavy NCAA penalties handed down there. Not surprising, because it's consistent Zero's embrace of tyranny by centralized authority, be it the NCAA over college athletics (and in the case of Penn State, a matter that be described as peripheral to athletics) or the federal government over American civil society.
What was surprising was that he said something nice about Tim Tebow. Is he trying to woo conservative Christians or was that a political gaffe that will turn off his leftist base?
Why in the world would anyone be unhappy if they had two good quarterbacks on their team????? Tebow isn’t a mouthy second stringer who is going to be causing trouble because he’s #2 - if I was a Jets fan I’d be thrilled to have a good back up. BHO is dumb.
