Remember that the 20 Senators in question can have their minds changed if citizens pressure them. What we are looking for is for them to go ON THE RECORD as opposing these two treaties. I heard that this afternoon, Sen. McConnell has stated he will vote NO! This is proof that the pressure is working. Keep it up! 19 to go, my friends. Let's get busy.

In the photo, Paneta looks as though he’s LOST at sea.
Hillary may have sat on a whoopie cushion, then again she may not have.
Bozo thinks that he head something, but fortunately has lost his olfactory capability.
These people belong in a zoo and certainly not at the highest levels of a failing nation!

Unfortunately, Richard Lugar is one of them. I don’t think he is bothering to answer his calls any more.

Hey, I just got off the phone with Isackson’s office and they confirmed the Senator is voting AGAINST both treaties.

And there folks is the game.
Cowards all. Yet the majority of the GOP will say “We have to reelect them, the alternative is worse!”

People should also tell conservative radio talk show hosts. A might megaphone is pretty helpful too.

There’s a good chance Kirk will jot vote at all since he’s recovering from a severe stroke.

The one for sure who won’t yield to pressure is the old Hoosier former favorite, Lugar.

Don’t forget Palin was and maybe still is for the LOST treaty.
You can google it for yourselves. I just don’t want to take time out to do it anymore.

Why is the media not covering this story? If it wasn’t for FR, I wouldn’t know anything about it.

Damn republican traitors. Name and shame these bastards. Let them know we won’t let them rest if they vote for this pos!

The U.S. Constitution grants authority to presidents to enter into treaty agreements with other nations and entities. But due to the fact that a treaty, if approved, becomes the law of the land, the U.S. Senate must approve by an exact two-thirds majority rather than the simple supermajority of 60 votes. This means that 67 votes are needed in the Senate to approve a treaty Actually, according to Article II, Section 2:
"He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur;"
With a Quorum of 51, just 34 "yes" votes are needed--not 67. That makes a huge difference, and it easy enough for Harry Reid to accomplish--as long as he doesn't have enough opposition standing against it (middle of the night or holiday recess anyone?) I surely hope the Repubs are watching him like a hawk!

Well, for the most part, these 20 are the usual suspects. But note Portman on there, whom the Repub establishment and many Dems (which is a red flag) are trying to spoon-feed us as a Romney running mate. He and Pawlenty are the two worst ones I can think of in terms of winning possibility.
