Hawaiian Punch has switched to using sucralose.
Im not talking about the diet version Im talking about the regular version. Some (but not all) of the high fructose corn syrup (which is worse than sugar) has been replaced with sucralose. The result is that the drink is less thick than it used to be, and theres also an aftertaste.

I must be the only one who never liked Hawaiian Punch, even as a kid. Nevertheless, it is appalling to me that food manufacturers are being pressured into making “healthy” changes to their products. These changes have turned their products into crap.
I’m still of the opinion that sugar has been unnecessarily demonized as the cause of obesity. I doubt anyone got fat from drinking Hawaiian Punch.

Not the only drink mix...Country Time lemonade. I immediately tasted the suralose flavoring. There was no “diet” or “low calorie” mention on the label. I’ve never had to read a back label to find out that my “regular” drink product is now diet.
sucralose doesn’t sit well with me. I can tolerate it in small amounts. I imagine there are a lot of people out there who can’t tolerate it. It really shouldn’t be given to children, unless they are diabetic or something. Do we really know the long term effects of using it in large amounts each day. I doubt it.
Sierra Mist. They switched it to sugar, and then added some other sweetener, possibly to save money on sugar. Leaves a strong aftertaste, but I’m not sure what it is. It’s probably in the natural flavors box on the label.
We wonder about long term effects. Sugar and corn syrup are natural products last I checked.
Watch the Video. It is 90 minutes long, but will change your life.
We wrongly took fat out of foods, and replaced it with sugar because food without fat tastes like cardboard. Processed foods contain so much sugar.
But artificial sweeteners are worse than sugar.
Sucralose doesn’t sit well with me either - all of those concocted sweeteners don’t. Never had the problem until I had the problem (and took a while to figure it out)Now I can’t touch any of that stuff, even a little bit...Saccharin I can handle- but I don’t go looking for it.
I have not had Hawaiin punchin over 30 years and probably would never have ever thought of having it again. Still

I love this video! I really want my in-laws to watch but they won’t. My nephew is obeses and my mother-in-law keeps counting his calories. Guess what? In two months he’s only lost three pounds! I attribute that to their requirement of exercise and not the calorie restricted diet. He stayed with us for a week and lost five pounds by simply following this docs plan.
Sorry! My post was supposed to go to FofF not you Lonesome!
I am still mad that they changed the original Tab.
Instead of complaining about this crap, buy a juicer and make your own pure juices. I also buy Knudsen 100% juices, organic and pure juice (I buy on sale with coupons). Their grape juice is especially wonderful tasting, I think.
Well done! You will lose weight if you eliminate refined sugar and refined flour from your diet. Just eat real foods. (Real foods do not have a list of ingredients) And don't drink juice - eat the whole fruit. Kids should only drink milk or water.
Simple but it works.
Glucose requires the least work ~
Only the fructose component is stored in the liver (as glycogen IIRC), and once your liver fructose “tank” is topped off, the rest is converted to triglyceride. Boom! You are now on your way to non-alcoholic fatty liver. Nice. Works the same with fruit juice, cane sugar, honey, agave, and corn syrup. Your body doesn’t care WHERE the fructose comes from.
Our local paper periodically posts photos of school pictures from the 40's and 50's. There are no fat children in those photos. An online site recently posted circus freak pictures. One of them was a fat lady that whose weight is now common place.
